Might Boy Studio has announced an upcoming sci-fi fantasy Action-RPG Babylon X for consoles and PC.
A studio made up of industry veterans including Owlcat Games, Saber Interactive and more have announced an Action-RPG called Babylon X. Might Boy Studio is a studio founded by plenty of talent including from Flying Wild Hog, MY.GAMES and others, with its head quarters based in Yerevan, Armenia.
The fantasy title is based on the Tower of Babel, in an ancient world where humankind faces a looming apocalypse. Babylon X will miss both Western and Eastern elements when it comes to narrative. It also takes inspiration from classic JRPGs such as theFinal Fantasyseries as well as Hollywood blockbusters of the 90’s. Watching the trailer the FF elements are definitely there through the snippets of dialogue we get.
Following the characters Samson, a former prophet who has run away to escape slavery and teams up with Leykah a young moon priestess. The main focus is a human story following desires for a new purpose in life and maybe even love. The Action-RPG will connect ancient magic and technological advancement into an intriguing tale of a dying world. The trailer also shows Samson zipping across sands on a hovercraft.
Then there’s magical abilities and someone falling off a tall building. We also get a glimpse of a tower which could be the Tower of Babel. The idea of trying to climb to the heavens could be a theme of stopping the world from ending but with plenty of struggle to the top.
The game will feature a “robust action combat system” and weave in tactical elements. If you like magic casting and a semi-open world with plenty of NPCs to interact with, Babylon X could be one to look out for. Choices will also impact your experience through morality and the decisions you make.
Babylon Xwill be coming to PC and consoles. No release date was announced as of yet.
