Larian Studiosannounce thatPatch 7ofBaldur’s Gate 3is now available on consoles and Mac, alongside mods, split-screen, and new evil endings.
Patch 7had released ofBaldur’s Gate 3on PC and Steam Deck, while PS5 and Xbox Series X|S were still pending, but the wait is over, and the update with mods and more features is finally arriving on consoles and Mac.
This new version ofBaldur’s Gate 3for Mac and consoles also includes a redesigned split-screen mode and new evil endings, along with another “impossible” addition.
Today’s update is one of the major ones, with evil endings, redesigned split-screen gameplay, and a curated selection of mods within the game created by the community itself.
To celebrate the modding season, and the fact that over 15 million mods have already been downloaded, a collaboration with Mashed is also being shared, featuring the origin characters from Baldur’s Gate 3 facing the tumultuous “Mod Wizard” and his army of unfiltered chaos.
Patch 7was already released on PC and now allows Mac and console players to access options for ruthless mutilations, multiplayer mode updates, and a growing collection of mutations created by players in this latest patch.
Larian Studios include officially putting mods in the hands of all players — so anything can happen.
The developers also mention that 13 impressive new cutscenes with evil endings have been added to Baldur’s Gate 3, including unique scenes for each of the origin characters.
Additionally, they’ve modernized the split-screen mechanics for those who prefer to play cooperatively on the same couch.
“Thanks to the dynamic split-screen mode, the screen sections will merge when you’re close and split when you separate to continue your individual adventure,” they said.
“However, the feature we’re most excited to tell you about today is our brand-new mod manager. With it, console players will be able to explore a new kind of chaotic fun created by community members like you.
With a wide range of mods, from wild modifications to macabre additions, we understand it may feel difficult to decide where to start,” Larian Studios acknowledged.
It’s been a couple of weeks since the PC community first got their hands onBaldur’s Gate 3’smodding kit, and they’ve been cooking up a good menu of mods.
Grease the surroundings to create a pandemonium full of fire, add new interface options for a more personalized experience, or travel through the Sword Coast with up to 15 more characters in your party.
Test yourself inHonor Mode,which now has customization options and a new difficulty level, as well asnew Legendary Actionsand bug fixes for origin and Dark Urge character playthroughs.
