Baldur's Gate 3 Will Still Release on Xbox in 2023

Xbox players have been awaiting the arrival of the CRPG Baldur’s Gate 3 on Xbox Series X|S and it’s still happening this year according to the developer.

Baldur’s Gate 3 will still be winging its way to the Xbox Series this year according to a recent confirmation tweet from Larian Studio’s Swen Vincke. BG3 has been a smash-hit success, leaving early access in September. The game has gained not only the attention of avid D&D fans but also a whole new crowd of gamers who have stepped into thisCRPGfor the first time. With much success it feels like it was a smooth launch, however, there was one issue that still has to be remedied.

The launch of the game has one major absence as that was the lack of the Xbox version of the game. Running into a snag earlier this year, the developer Larian had been tackling theconsole’s split screen issue, especially on the lighter model Xbox Series S. It finally came to a head that the Series S would forgo the split screen co-op in order to push the release along.

Latest on the Xbox – being actively playtested, still on schedule for this year. We’ll announce the exact release date when we’re sure it’s done.

Previously the studio had shared they would be aiming between the months ofSeptember and Novemberthis year. However, we’re heading into November now and there was not much on when players can expect the game on Xbox until now. Vincke has confirmed that Baldur’s Gate 3 will still be launching on Xbox this year, so that means from now until the end of December as the platform window. So Xbox players will be able to begin Shove enemies off high places soon, hopefully in time for Xmas.

Larian has been steadily rolling out hotfixes to fix minor issues as well as adding the Magic Mirror which can change Hirelings’ appearances. As for what’s next for Baldur’s Gate 3 studio, wellDLC expansionmay or may not happen. They are also already eyeing the next game, and some things are already “moving in that direction” according to a recent interview.
