“Kaiju No. 8” is set in a world where Japan is frequently attacked by massive monsters known as kaiju. Kafka Hibino, the protagonist, works in a cleanup crew, dealing with the aftermath of these monster attacks. Despite his mundane job, Kafka harbours a childhood dream of joining the Defense Corps to fight the kaiju alongside his friend Mina Ashiro. His life takes a dramatic turn when he encounters a kaiju parasite that grants him the power to transform into a humanoid kaiju himself. Set in the Ginza district of Tokyo, Bartender: Glass of God follows Ryuu Sasakura, the prodigy bartender of the Eden Hall bar known for his miraculous ability to mix the perfect cocktail to address the specific troubles of his customers.
