BioWare Announces Dragon Age: Dreadwolf Has Completed Its ‘Alpha’ Milestone
Dragon Age: Dreadwolf has just entered a major stage in the development process, now completed its alpha milestone. Bioware says the game is now playable from start to finish.
The latest entry in the major franchise, Dragon Age: Dreadwolf has now entered an important phase in its development cycle. The developer Bioware has shared over on their blog that the game has completed its alpha milestone. Dreadwolf can now be played from its “opening scenes of the first mission to the very end”.
While this doesn’t mean the game is finished, as there is still a lot left to do, it’s still cause for celebration that the development of the game is making major progress. The next steps include improving visual fidelity, gameplay features and evaluation key elements such as player progression as well as narrative cohesion.
Previously the devs shed light on how this entry will be positioned in the series of games. Sharing that it’s important that the title strikes a good balance for those who are fans of the games and for those who may benew or getting into the series for the first time. Dreadwolf will have “BioWare RPG” at its core, with “no right choices…only those you make”. This sounds like player agency will be critical, especially when it comes to “who lives and who dies”.
Bioware has previously shared that Dragon Age: Dreadwolf will be asingle-playerfocused game with party-based combat set in Tevinter. The title has had a number of concept art pieces shared throughout the years, teasing theAntivan Crows, as well as theGrey Wardensand a magic archer.
