Black Myth Wukonghas been a massive success, selling over18 million copiesin just a couple of weeks. Bloomberg reveals that most of its sales come from China.
From the launch of the highly anticipated action-adventure game from Game Science, we can draw two conclusions. First, it hasn’t been the GREAT game that many expected, receiving very positive but also some mixed reviews.And second, the adaptation ofJourney to the Westinto a video game has been a tremendous commercial success, ensuring new installments of the Monkey King in the coming years.

Game Science has not shared official figures, but reputable sources like Bloomberg report an impressive number.According to their data which hasn’t been confirmed by the game’s developers,Remember, the game was released on August 20, so it has reached these numbers in just two weeks. Incredible!
The Monkey King’s game has sold 18 million copies in just two weeks, accounting for all units sold between PlayStation 5 and PC. Keep in mind that the Xbox Series X|S version has been delayed indefinitely.
According to Bloomberg, the game’s creators are already considering how to continue the story in a sequel, though nothing is official yet.
What is confirmed is thatBlack Myth: Wukongwill receive DLC, which is already in development, according to a spokesperson from Game Science. It seems it will be similar toElden Ring’sexpansion.
