Black Myth: Wukong Releases Its Final Trailer Before Launch

Black Myth: Wukongteases newlocations, enemies, and never-before-seencombatscenes thanks to a recently released video ahead of the game’s launch. It will arrive soon onPC, Steam Deck, and PS5,though with a delay onXbox Series X|S. WithGame Sciencehaving completed its development, they present the pre-launch trailer for this ARPG.

The Chinese studio has showcased the most important and impactful audiovisual moments to note before playing as Sun Wukong in a nearly five-minute video. The final trailer forBlack Myth: Wukongmarks a turning point ahead of its release on August 20 for consoles and computers, but not just for what can be seen in it.

The video features never-before-seen combat scenes not shown in any of the many trailers released over the past four years. It also includes new video scenes featuring the Monkey King, the protagonist of the classic Chinese epic novel, though they might be a bit of a spoiler for those wanting to play without prior knowledge.

Despite this, these two features are accompanied by new levels and characters that Game Science had not previously shown or introduced. Some bosses inBlack Myth: Wukongwill only change phases if defeated quickly enough, a feature that has divided the community.

All of this is for the base game, asGame Sciencehas confirmed that there will be DLCs after the launch.

The Chinese studio seems to have cut it close, as their work is launching this August alongside other titles likeStar Wars Outlaws, Dustborn, and Concord. After a July with notable releases such as Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, Nintendo World Championships NES Edition, and Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, the world of video games continues to level up.

This gamewill not have difficulty options, and the reasons for the physical edition coming without a disc have been explained. Additionally, the creators prefer that the game not be called a “soulslike,” for good reasons they have previously discussed.

The launch trailer forBlack Myth: Wukongis filled with new locations, enemies, and never-before-seen combat scenes.
