Blizzard announces a bunch of changes for the next season of Diablo 4
Blizzardannounced thatDiablo 4’s Season 4won’t arrive until May, but they have already hinted that they will be making a lot of changes.
The new season ofDiablo 4is preparing such a large number of changes that we could even understand it as a new game, both for better and for worse. Many players see changes in games like this as something negative, but this time we’ll have to give it a vote of confidence, as long as they are well executed. Generally, these types of seasons tend to breathe new life into almost any service title. It seems that this will be the case for Blizzard’s hack and slash.
In theCampfire Chat, they explained that they are preparing such a large patch that we will even feel like it’s more of a sequel or continuation. Undoubtedly, this seems very interesting, especially considering that games likeLast Epochand Path of Exile 2 have started to become much more relevant in the hack and slash genre thanDiablo 4itself.
They have also explained that they are going to change the appearance ratio of items with higher rarity, as well as different systems related to the loot system. They have even stated that the way we understand combat preparation is going to change, that loot reviews will be more important, that we will have greater flexibility when building our builds so that the same characters don’t always dominate, or that the system by which we temper the items obtained from a boss will be better and will allow us to make them useful even if they don’t seem to be.
Blizzard has also set to work on certain playable elements for theRPG endgame. Now, Helltide Commanders will appear in all world levels, a new boss named Andariel will be introduced, and the Artisan’s Well, which will host random and timed dungeons to obtain rare crafting materials. A list of improvements that ends with the most obvious quality of life adjustments in the game, as well as buffs and nerfs for certain classes, although the company is saving surprises for later on.
However, theCampfire Chatended with a declaration of intentions: Blizzard wants to ensure a smooth launch for Season 4, so they will carry out a preliminary test starting from April 2nd for those of us playing on PC, although only through Battle.net. A testing phase that serves to gear up for the official launch of the season on May 14th.
