Bloober Team Is Developing a Game With Take-Two Interactive
Bloober Team is fully engaged in two more ambitious projects, but without a formal announcement about them. Thanks to the presentation of its latest annual report, we can learn about a new IP alongside Take-Two Interactive and another with the creator of The Walking Dead.
On the other hand, the company is increasingly confident about the outcome ofSilent Hill 2 Remake, with high expectations for its arrival later this year.
According to this report, one of the projects is titled asProject C, which is a collaboration with Private Division, a publishing studio of Take-Two Interactive. This production is in a very advanced stage.
Project R is the other game, but in this case, it’s alongside Skybound Entertainment, Robert Kirkman’s company, the creator of The Walking Dead. According to this document, it is expected for the next year.
At the same time, the report also confirmed the high expectation the company has for the work done onSilent Hill 2 Remaketo adapt thePlayStation 2classic as best as possible. The team is “very confident in the final result,” as seen in part of the statement. Additionally, the company added: “we don’t hide it internally or externally; this is the most important proof of our actions.”
This reinterpretation of the horror and survival title has sparked several controversies since its announcement. On one hand, just a month after the release of the second trailer, Piotr Babieno, president of Bloober Team, had expressed that the trailer did not reflect the spirit of the game, following a very poor reception from fans.
On the other hand, through some changes in the internal game card on Steam, a change in the protagonist’s face was recently circulated, which was well received by users this time.
The work promises to once again deliver a masterclass in psychological horror and survival with the music of Akira Yamaoka and the art of Masahiro Ito, featuring new visual effects, sounds, and improved gameplay. The latest rumors suggest a redesign of the protagonist’s face after months without news, pending the announcement of its release date.
In the coming weeks, more details about both projects are likely to be revealed, as well as a gameplay ofSilent Hill 2 Remake.
