With the release ofThe Old Hunters, we must go back to the beginning and start our theories anew in conjecture with some new information we have gotten.
“Curse the fiends, their children too…and their children forever true…I call to the bloodless wherever they be…”
Whoarethese “fiends”? Are they us or those who came before us;Willem, Laurence,Gehrman, or someone unbeknownst to us? The second part of that dialogue is very interesting, mostly because ofbloodless.Everyone we meet in Yharnam partakes in Blood, after all, Yharnam is the home of blood ministration.
Bloodless:
1. (of a revolution or conflict) without violence or killing.
2. (of the skin or a part of the body) drained of color.
3. (of a person) cold or unemotional.
4. lacking in vitality; feeble.
Who is going to answer the call? Will it be us, the feeble hunter, or will it be someone ofEileen’sstature? Could this be a reference to ashen blood or perhaps pale blood?
As the trailer progresses, we see similar figures hunched over in theLumenflower Garden. Instead of the expectedcelestial emissariesand the bulbs of the flowers, we see open wilting flowers with children playing in the dirt. Perhaps, we can see what the orphanage was before everyone was transformed.
Last, but certainly not least, we have a ground breaking change in a lore theory:
We see this horrendous amalgamation of sorts, highly reminiscence ofThe One Reborn, with the body of a horse; and if we peer closer that being is wearing a church attire, with a holy shawl which is highly similar to theExecutioner attire. This creature is none other thanLudwighimself. Everyone who thought that the cleric beast was Ludwig is wrong. PerhapsCleric Beastwas just a cleric from the Church Hunters, or perhaps he is a fallen Holy Blade. IF, he is a fallen Holy Blade, will we see more of them? Is that the identity of that flaming Cleric beast in the trailer? Let us follow the cookie crumbs and peer ever harder at everything, Umbasa.
