Emergence

Editor at Fextralife. I look for the substantial in gaming and I try to connect video games to the emotions and stories they elicit. I love all things culture and history and have an odd fondness for the planet Jupiter. I think my dogs are pretty awesome too.

please be Bloodborne in Space, please be Bloodborne in Space, please be Bloodborne in Space

I’m essentially hoping forEvent Horizon: The Video Game, but with a Soulsbourne interface instead of Dead Space.

The best game I’ve played with it yet (Thumper) isn’t in first-person, so I definitely agree with this. It can be used to enhance games in other ways.

The biggest problem I have with PSVR so far is that none of the games I’ve played using the Move controllers actually allow you to move around. I’m not sure how games that do even handle that, since the Move controllers lack control sticks AND a d-pad. I don’t get why the face buttons are in that odd square shape, either…

On the subject of VR, I’m hoping it sticks around, and not just as a first-person immersion enhancer. You know when you’re playing a game, and you want to press a button without letting go of the camera, but in order to do that you have to lift your index finger up and over and it’s kinda weird and uncomfortable? Yeah, I wouldn’t mind having the camera controls strapped to my face. Now if only we could do something about the walking controls and D-pad being on the same side, too…

I mean, as massively useful as joysticks are, I’ve always felt like putting them right there next to the buttons was awfully inconvenient, but I couldn’t think of a better way to do it.

I’ve seen the mission, and it’s pretty sweet. I just want a whole game like that. I’d probably forget to breathe. The VR thing my wife got from Verizon is neat, but some of the “games” on it give me vertigo. Nothing major, but it gives me the feeling of being on roller skates after I finished playing.

I wanted to play this so badly, but I’m not going to buy Battlefront for it. I wish they had released it as its own thing.

Yes, much disappoint. My protest is not buying until the game is 1/2 price. Much better experience on PC, framerate & fidelity on consoles has always been disappointing.

Star Wars battlefront has a vr mission. It’s a fans dream as you get to pilot the ships and participate on the intergalactic battle. Of course it is not a full game so it’s not really the thing to push you over.

We played rush of blood and the guys were losing it. The jumps and screams were so much fun to watch lol. I can only imagine how atmospheric a souls game would be on this, although the combat itself could prove extremely challenging to develop

Kinda figured there’d be a new Souls IP.

Proper multiplayer is due!

A VR Armored Core, Dark Souls / Bloodborne, or a Star Wars game would probably push me over the edge of buying a VR headset. No silly tech demos, I mean a REAL game.

Due to the company’s nature, I’d expect something of the same but in different genre as there are already medieval, gothic and feudal japanese.

After getting a vr, I’m now curious about the vr title that from are working on. I imagine it could be armoured core, but I would absolutely love to be able to “walk into” a souls game.

Very much looking forward to seeing what this is! If not a direct sequel, even a game thematically linked to Bloodborne would get my attention (and my ££s)!

Xbox and PC users would beg to disagree.

Got my hopes up for a Bloodborne sequel. I want to see more material from these guys

Do these people take breaks? Jesus, they probably haven’t seen their families in YEARS.

If it is going be somewhat similar to Bloodborne I absolutely NEED that. Bloodborne is by far my favourite game of the current generation.

Even if it’s not Bloodborne, anything in that vein and new feel will be amazing. It was such a departure in subtle ways from Dark Souls. I’d like to see From and Sony team up much more on new IPs as the partnership seems so creatively fruitful.

Gimme gimme gimme!

Bloodborne was truly a great experience, even if it felt somehow short and the multiplayer was borked at the start. I want moar!

This has my undivided attention. If it’s as polished as Bloodborne ended up being, we’re off to a good start already.
