Bloodborne Teases New DLC Weapon

In a much clearer closeup than we we’ve been able to see in prior videos for its upcomingThe Old HuntersDLC,Bloodborne’sofficialtwittershared an up close and personal shot of one of the expansion’s new weapons, the unofficially namedBeast Cleaver.

Much longer than theSaw Cleaver, the new weapon features some massive reptilian teeth on its saw side, and squares off to a blunt end. It’s quite intimidating and looks like the character is wielding an alligator. In its trick transformation it becomes a heavy handed whip, much more bludgeoning in execution than theThreaded Cane. One of the major critiques of the critically acclaimed Bloodborne was its lack of weapon variety, but the expansion has promised several more additions to the trick arsenal.  In addition to the Beast Cleaver and officially namedSimon’s Bowblade, we can expect to see the followingweaponsandequipment(unofficial names):

The Old Hunters comes out on November 24th, and Bloodborne is getting aGame of the Year Editionon November 27th which will feature both the base game and the expansion. Editor at Fextralife. I look for the substantial in gaming and I try to connect video games to the emotions and stories they elicit. I love all things culture and history and have an odd fondness for the planet Jupiter. I think my dogs are pretty awesome too.

My eyes attention was taken only by this one.I just don’t really care about new weapons, but actual content— talking NPCs, more mysteries, more questions, some point of view changing lore fragment and hopefully some location puzzles finally! I’ve been missing them in the whole Bloodborne.

That beast cleaver looks so good, especially when it’s on the character’s shoulder

I’d like to point out that I don’t think the shield is part of a shield+sword trick weapon combo, rather it might be a standalone left-hand item like the wooden shield. The sword from the clip looked exactly like Simon’s Bowblade.
