Bloodstained Classic II: Dominique’s Curse New DLC is Live Now
The story ofBloodstained: Ritual of the Night, the spiritual successor to Castlevania, began almost 9 years ago. Its Kickstarter campaign was a resounding success, raising 5.5 million dollars.
The developers atArtPlayfollowed through on everything they promised, releasing updates and patches with the aim of improving the game. However, they “forgot” two features they had initially promised.
It’s never too late to keep promises, and the final update of Bloodstainedis available for all platforms and can be purchased today from the game’s online store for all platforms at$9.99 USD
It isArtPlay’sfarewell to theirCastlevaniasuccessor game, and it consists of two new game modes (promised earlier) and a set of free cosmetics. A paid cosmeticsDLCwill also be released.
On one hand, we have Chaos Mode, which takes us through various rooms filled with enemies and bosses, like a challenge mode. It can be played solo, in local co-op, or online co-op.
As for Versus Mode, it is a PvP multiplayer variant that, despite its cooperative appearance, is actually an indirect confrontation between two players.
Two players face waves of demons, aiming to achieve the highest score. With the points earned, traps and items can be bought to hinder the other player, thus surviving longer than the opponent.
As a final touch, the update introduces a free skin for Miriam, based on the Shantae game series. The other set of cosmetics (which includes three skins) is paid.
The final bang forBloodstained: Ritual of the Nightwill be another additional game mode, still undated, and paid. Specifically, Classic Mode II, which offers retro gameplay and its own separate story (like a story DLC).
With all these new features, the creators have fulfilled everything they promised almost 9 years ago. Only one thing remains, whichArtPlayis already working on: the physical version forPC, for those who participated in the crowdfunding campaign.
