Capcom Director Assures Fans Dragon’s Dogma 2 Update is Coming Soon
Capcom shares that an update about Dragon’s Dogma 2 is not far off.
Director Hideaki Itsuno of Capcom has shed a little light on when the next update will be coming on the development ofDragon’s Dogma 2. Translated by Gematsu, the Japanese magazine Famitsu shared that Itsuno says the development of the sequel is faring well. We can expect an update “as soon as possible”, which doesn’t exactly give a time frame.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 was officially confirmed to be in development back in June, when Itsuno and his team revealed the title was in the works with t-shirt unveiling during the10th Anniversary livestream. The quirky announcement got fans excited, finally confirming that another title was coming. Other than the logo reveal, there hasn’t been any word about what we can expect for the second game. But from the sounds of it, the team are stuck in and moving steadily on with the project.
I’m currently immersed in the production ofDragon’s Dogma 2, so much so that I’m losing my sense of what season it is. Things are moving along well, so I hope to further our development progress so that we can share an update with you as soon as possible.

Other details known so far is that the game will use Capcom’s RE Engine. This is the same engine that was used to develop the Resident Evil remakes, Devil May Cry 5 as well as Street Fighter 6. We’re still yet to hear what platforms will be available at launch and the actual launch window. The news also sparked a resurgence on Steam when it was announced, gaining a newpeak for concurrent playerssince it was first released on the platform six years ago.
Hopefully, the next game will be just as engaging as the last, with some matching updated visuals to go with it. I just hope there will be mounts in the game, and offers a less gruelling way to get around from the get-go. In other Capcom news, they’re working on more content for Bloodstained Ritual of the Night, as well as a brand new action game IP which they plan to reveal next year.
Dragon’s Dogma 2so far has no release window but has been confirmed to be in development.
