Capcom Releases Character Creator for Dragon’s Dogma 2
Many players have been eagerly awaiting the release ofDragon’s Dogma 2, and although we can’t play the full game just yet, Capcom has released a small aspect of the game for everyone to try out. As stated on the official website, the Japanese company has granted access to the character editor of Dragon’s Dogma 2 to the public, available for free download on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam.
The announcement was made duringCapcom’s highlights, an event that also left us with several surprises such asNew Title Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, an upcoming single-player action strategy game inspired by Japanese culture and folklore, among others.
It could be said that this character editor is one of the most comprehensive ever implemented in a video game due to the immense amount of options available to edit every aspect of the hero to be embodied. And when we say every aspect, it’s no exaggeration as you can determine the measurements of each part of the body.
If you’re someone who spends a considerable amount of time customizing even the smallest detail of a character, this editor is perfect for you as it allows us to create up to 5 Arisen and 5 Pawns to accompany us on this deep and dangerous adventure.
For example, on the head, you can choose the eyes, nose, cheeks, eyelashes, and even what teeth are present or missing in the jaw, as well as their color. On the upper body, you can configure the chest size, arms, biceps, or shoulders, while on the lower body, you can choose how their buttocks, calves, hips, knees, etc., are.
Additionally, tattoos, scars, dirt patches, fur, walking style, color, and of course, gender and race can also be selected, having to choose whether they are human or a Ferid. Furthermore, once the Arisen is chosen, the same must be done with the main Pawn who will accompany our character throughout the journey. And be aware that the body size will influence weight and therefore mobility and the load each one can bear.
You might already know, Dragon’s Dogma 2 will be Capcom’s most expensive game, and the company said it might not be the last because “development costs are increasing.” Currently, Regarding its gameplay, Dragon’s Dogma 2 will NOT run at 60 FPS on Xbox Series X|S or PS5, only on PC.
