The future ofCD Projekt REDis very exciting. After overcoming the disastrous launch ofCyberpunk 2077with a lot of effort, theEdgerunnersanime, and thePhantom Libertyexpansion, the Polish studio is now focusing on new installments of its two franchises,The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077.
Other titles from the fantasy RPG saga are also in development, such as a multiplayer spin-off (Project Sirius) by The Molasses Flood, and a remake of the firstThe Witcher(Project Canis Majoris) by Fool’s Theory.
Additionally, part of the team behindPhantom Libertyis already working on the sequel toCyberpunk 2077(Project Orion), which seems likely to extend its development until the end of this console generation.
Here’s some good news: all these games can be tested ahead of time, as CD Projekt has announced its own tester program, open to any registered user on their website.
However, it’s currently only available in the United States, and there are some conditions or restrictions that we’ll explain below.

We’re bringing our RED Playtesting Program to the United States! If you are:– at least 16 years old– located or ready to travel to Boston, Massachusetts, for onsite activities– passionate about gaming and eager to share your insights– not involved in game development…pic.twitter.com/ov8KDBgAot
It’s called theRED Playtesting Program, and for now, it’s only confirmed for people residing in the United States. There are also several conditions and requirements to be aware of.
To begin with, the program is limited to people aged 16 or older. Availability to travel to the studio’s offices in Boston (Massachusetts) is also required, as that is where the testing activities will take place.
Another key factor is that individuals working in the video game industry are not eligible to participate. It is presumed this refers to specialized press and developers themselves.
And, as a final requirement but equally important, theRED Playtesting Programwill evaluate all users who apply to participate, selecting those they deem most suitable—those who love video games and possess the necessary knowledge.
