Crisis Core Final Fantasy 7 Reunion is ‘More Than a Remaster’
A new trailer release for upcoming Crisis Core Final Fantasy 7 Reunion is dubbed “more than a remaster” according to Square Enix.
Originally released for the PSP, Crisis Core Final Fantasy 7 Reunion is the remaster, but Square Enix has shared it will be much more than this. The latest trailer for the remaster previews the upgraded graphics, new summon cinematics and updated combat system. Combat will take on a similar approach as the recentFinal Fantasy 7 Remake. Other changes include new music arrangements by the original composer Takeharu Ishimoto.
The game will feature full voice acting in both English and Japanese, with previously unvoiced scenes now getting full VA for the first time. Along with the new trailer, details of how each platform will the game were revealed. The game will have a fixed 30 FPS except for platforms Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X|S which will run at 60 FPS. Those playing on Steam will be able to run the game up to 120 FPS. Resolution will be 1920 X 1080 for last-gen consoles, and 3840 x 2160 for current-gen. The Switch will have a 1280 x 720 set resolution for both handheld and docked modes.
According to recent performance reports, Crisis Core FF7 Reunion will run at 30 FPS on release but will receive a day one 60 FPS patch. Those playing on Steam will have additional display options such as vsync, texture quality, shadow quality, anit-aliasing and ambient occlusion. Characters will all have reworked 3D models and backgrounds also gaining an upgrade. This entry focuses on Zack Fair’s story who plays a significant role in the events that take place in the sequelFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirth.
Crisis Core Final Fantasy 7 Reunionreleases on December 13th for PC, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
