Crymachina Gets Free Demo on PS5, PS4 and Switch
The upcoming futuristic, fast-paced RPG Crymachina gets a demo on PS4, PS5 and Switch ahead of its release on October 24th.
Flashy, fast and action-packed describes Crymachina well. An upcoming Action-RPG all about mechnical girls living in a post-apocalyptic world on their quest to become human. Not the sci-fi version of Pinnochio but sounds just as dark. Mankind is struck by extinction and AI life has continued in outer space in a place called Eden. Dei ex Machina as they are called have one purpose, to restore humankind.
Things take a turn when one of the first Deus ex Machina goes missing. This creates a rift between the remaining AI. Players will pick between three playable characters for different stages. The game uses hack-n-slash styled combat, for thrilling upbeat action. Weapons can be collected throughout the game called Auxiliaries. As you’re playing as essentially robots, customisation is aplenty. Different hardware upgrades such as improving attack range or installing Auxilliary Chips which have different weapon actions.
Of course while in true JRPG fashion, in between battles players can return to the home base to rest up and have conversations during Tea Party sequences. It sounds like a mash-up ofLies of P‘s questing to become human, but set in the future, mixed in with someNieR Automataandroid impending doom. But the artstyle reminds me more ofScarlet Nexus. If the Cry part of the title sounds familiar, that’s because it’s by the same developers FuRyu who worked onCrystar, however it seems to be a different setting and story.
A new demo is now available for console players on PS4, PS5 and Switch which can be carried over to full game.
Crymachina is launching on October 24th in NA, October 27th in EU, and November 3rd in Oceania across PC (via Steam), Switch, PS4, and PS5.
