Cyberpunk 2077 Has Been Updated But Only for PC
Cyberpunk 2077is updated once more, and perhaps for the last time, only on PC, adding support for AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 with Frame Generation.
Cyberpunk 2077is now part of CD Projekt RED’s past, as they’ve said many times: they’re working on new games, particularly a new The Witcher game that will kick off another trilogy, and also on a Cyberpunk sequel.Although Cyberpunk 2077 received its last content update a year ago, today CD Projekt has released a new patch, but only for PC.Cyberpunk 2077 reaches version 2.13, only on PC, to add support for AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 with frame generation. On consoles, the version remains 2.12, but it won’t break the cross-save functionality.
AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 3, or simply FSR 3, combines image upscaling with frame generation technologies to produce high-resolution images at a faster rate.
In Cyberpunk 2077, it’s an option that can be enabled from Settings – Graphics, under the quick preset section. There’s also a separate option to enable FSR’s frame generation. However, before activating it, it’s recommended to set the game to run at 60 fps minimum, using a high refresh rate monitor (120 Hz or more), and ensure that Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling is enabled in the operating system (it’s enabled by default on Windows 11, but not on Windows 10).
On PC, Cyberpunk 2077 is updated to version 2.13 with support for AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 3. CD Projekt offers more help on their support website.
