Upcoming fantasy CRPG Dark Envoy has released a video going over upcoming classes and specialisations.
The latest trailer for Dark Envoy we get a brief overview of what players can expect in terms of classes for the fantasy title. The developer Event Horizon introduces four classes, Warrior, Ranger, Engineer and Adept. There are 12 specialisations to choose from, with each class having 3 different specialisations. Having 6 companions also brings a host of other skills to utilise.
Previewed is Kaela as an Adept Elementalist, who focuses on dealing damage and crowd control using strong ice and fire magic. They also get their knowledge from books and scholarly materials.
The Engineer or “technomancer” on the other hand is more of an all-rounder, but excels in support. Specialising in all things tech, can control lightning and summon constructs.
A more tanky class comes in the form of the Warrior. Dealing damage, and controlling the battlefield with the use of earth magic.
For more of a ranged position the Ranger is also highly mobile, using traps to gain the advantage over their targets.
We get a brief look at the Skills also available under Ranger, which has one specialisation of Sharpshooter. Also previewed is the more agile Gunslinger class, which has some great moves if you’re in a pinch.
In case you missed it, Dark Envoy comes from the same developer of theTower of Time. In this upcoming real-time tactical RPG players have free reign to explore thesemi-open world, tackle procedurally generated dungeons while taking on their own tactical objectives. The game’s new RPG system will challenge players to experiment and adapt to different situations. Choices made in-game will have a lasting impact on the world, and there are multiple endings to discover.
A blend of non-linear path exploration,XCOMandDivinityinspiration, but doing away with RNG and relying more on the tactical prowess of its players to win the game.
