Getting through an area quickly for challenge or making a build is a big part of theDark Soulsgaming culture. With a new expansion inThe Ringed Citycomes a whole new area to test for the quickest way through. Here’s a look at how to run through the first area in the game,The Dreg Heap.
From The Dreg Heap bonfire, run off the cliffs until you meet a bridge which you will have to cross and hang a right. This will lead you to a collapsible ledge which you will land inside a church-esque building. Once you have fallen, you want to exit on the left hand side and follow that path until you reach another place where you must fall. Hug the right hand wall in order to not misroll to your death. Where you have fallen, continue going straight, entering the door archway in front of you. Past the archway there, once you make a quick left, run past the 2 Knight enemies you see here and exit through the right to arrive at a fountain. Make a left from the fountain and continue on this path ahead of you, falling lower and lower until you see a bonfire in front of you.
From this bonfire, go straight and follow the tree roots you see on your right hand side over a hill until you see a small shack. From this shack, you want to make a right(so the shack wall is on your left) and go straight avoiding theAngel’sblasting until you see a small hill on your right and a stone entry way. After you have enter, fall down a small drop and avoid the Hollow Slaves. You want to travel the left side of this area while using the various land structures. By now you should see solid land and several Poisonous Tick enemies, make a right and head over to that red hued tree root. Climb this root until you see another tree root on your right hand side which you must drop to. Follow this new root all the way past several more Hollow Slaves until you reach yet another tree root. You simply follow this root until its end and fall down. (The most difficult part of this is being bombarded by 2 Angels and the fall at the end gives you damage so its best to wear the cat ring. Once you have fallen you run into the hole and you will end up at the final bonfire in this area. The boss is located after you jump down to it.
