The Game Awards, the online broadcast evolution of Spike’s VGA Awards has revealed their nominees for the December 1st awards show in Los Angeles and some prominent RPG’s have been nominated for awards.

Dark Souls 3was nominated for Best RPG, along withThe Witcher 3:Blood and Wine.XCOM 2was nominated for Best Strategy Game andOverwatchandUncharted 4were nominated for several including Game of the Year, Best Multiplayer, and Best Direction.

Upcoming titlesMass Effect AndromedaandHorizon Zero Dawnreceived nominations for Most Anticipated Game which is a category that is also open to fan vote.

Regardless of the outcomes, we do know that Mass Effect Andromeda will be showing off some gameplay during the show so if all your choices don’t come through, there’s still that to look forward to!

Shiny results from the Golden Joystick Awards

Xenoblade Chronicles X is going to get robbed by Geralt’s Bangbus Chapter 3.

Uncharted 4 should take its categories, the game is really good.

And I have the same feeling as you do regarding the RPG category… Dark Souls 3 should take it but Witcher probably will, even though it’s an expansion. The love for CDPR and the appeal of Witcher is rather far reaching.

I have a feeling that Overwatch will take the categories it’s featured in, even though I reckon the other games are better, but oh well.Witcher 3 will probably take Best RPG, but I kinda hope Dark Souls 3 wins it tbh.RDR2 will most likely win most anticipated game, because it’s Rockstar
