Darkest Dungeon 2has announced the release date for its new content, including its first paid DLC and a new free game mode, currently exclusive to PC.
Following its launch earlier this year,Darkest Dungeon 2is set to introduce its first major paid DLC alongside a free game mode and an adventure module. Red Hook Studios has revealed the release date for all this content, which will initially launch on PC (the game is also available on PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch).
The free game mode,Kingdoms, reimagines the original structure ofDarkest Dungeon 2, challenging players to defend the kingdom from new enemies. The mode is divided into three adventure modules, with the first,Hunger of the Beast Clan, launching onJanuary 27for PC (console release to follow). Two additional adventure modules will be released later, all free for existing game owners.
Also arriving onJanuary 27for PC (with a later console release) isInhuman Bondage, the first paid DLC forDarkest Dungeon 2. This expansion introduces:
