Darkest Dungeon 2 Gets An Epic Launch Trailer
Red Hook Studios released launch trailer for Darkest Dungeon 2 which has its full launch on May 8th.
Darkest Dungeon 2has been in early access for roughly two years, but it will be unleashing its full version 1.0 on May 8th. The sequel to the game of the same name, the second entry continues the gothic roguelike in full force. Not only having the return of fan favourites such as theVestaland theFlagellantwho is now undead.
The Darkest Dungeon 2 will bring everything fans loved from the first and then some. The combat system has some new mechanics, but still stays true to the first. Each hero has flaws,quirksand stressors that will affect their party. This will affect how they play, including some maddening surprises. In a party of four heroes, you will be pitted against roguelike five-hour runs which include ominous mountains. These shorter runs will be designed to be a little less intimidating than the first, which had longer 40-plus hour campaigns.
The trailer shows a peek into what lies ahead for these troubled heroes, including a new vehicle stagecoach which gives options of which path to take with encounters such asAssistance Encounter. We get a look at some of the effects of battle including hatred amongst the group in the Darkest Dungeon 2 trailer. There are 12heroesthis time around, the Plague Doctor, Grave Robber, Highwayman, Man at Arms, Hellion, Runaway, Jester, Leper, Occultist, Vestal, Bounty Hunter and the Flagellant. The trailer ends with a look at a multi-eyed monster.
Darkest Dungeon 2‘s version 1.0 will be released on May 8th for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Those who already own the title on Steam, they can grab a limited-time discount.
