Studio Rebel Wolves officially announces their project Dawnwalker, a dark fantasy RPG and reveals new concept art.
Just last week Rebel Wolves a studio made up of ex Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3 devs revealed they are working on their“dream” RPG project. The studio has now revealed dark fantasy title’s name Dawnwalker along with a new image which is giving off some strong vampire vibes.
The image is striking and in the hue of blood red. The figure looks to be either falling or striking down from above with a sword in hand. The name “Dawnwalker” also indicates some who is available to walk during the day, perhaps a vampire who can withstand the sun. Or maybe a vampire hunter?

Since the devs have worked on such titles asThe Witcher 3, a vampire hunter wouldn’t be too far off in terms of their previous experience. Instead of a witcher who hunts monsters, a vampire hunter could be its own Blade-inspired fantasy. But with previous concept art revealed, such as the medieval-looking townscape, this title sounds to be set in the past, or at least in a reality moulded by a medieval setting.
Further clues come in the form of the symbols that appear on the new concept art. The cross with balancing scales which shows the sun and moon. This could also point to a vampire setting, balancing the Dawnwalker’s relationship with the day/night.
We want to craft a world that you will want to explore and dive deep into and tell stories that make you care about the characters. We aim to deliver an experience that will allow for a variety of choices and room for experimentation when replayed.
What we do know is that the studio is working on something they “would love to play” and is a “dream” project for them. They also aim to “evolve the CRPG genre” with a blend of “unforgettable stories” and “stirring deep emotions”.
The AAA IP is described as a dark fantasy IP and the recent reveals look to hold up to that concept. We’ll be keeping an eye on Dawnwalker as there could be some very interesting ideas with this one.
