The Japanese expo allowed the director to confirm the release date ofDeath Stranding 2: On the Beach: “Although we haven’t officially announced the release date yet, we have it set. The plans are in place. While production is progressing toward that goal, several factors could affect the release schedule,” Kojima commented.
During the announcement, Kojima also shared news about the Photo Mode and its impact on the story, as well as who will voice Elle Fanning and/or Fatih Akin’s characters in the Japanese version.
It’s unclear if this footage is part of the game’s introduction or a segment created specifically for the event. As you can see, everything is slowly being revealed, with the characters introduced one by one alongside the actors/actresses who portrayed them in motion capture.
The gameplay is somewhat uneventful, as it seems no one is controlling Norman Reedus’ character during the scenes shown.
We’ll have to make do with anotherDeath Stranding 2poster, which features a significant actor from the saga, released by the director during the summer. This poster also hinted at an “exhilarating yet exhausting climb” to speed up the development ofDeath Stranding 2.
