Destiny Rise of Iron New Update Live, Heroic Raid Launches Today
Destinyplayers anxiously awaiting the Heroic Raid of Wrath of the Machine for theRise of Ironexpansioncan now unleash their own fury, as the mode launches today at 5PM EST for PS4 and Xbox One players along with a new base game update that is now live. The light level equipment cap for the raid will be 400. Beyond that, players can anticipate some additional challenges from raid bosses, which will make a boss harder each week in exchange for some even better loot. The final 2 milestones in the record book have been revealed as well, one tasks players beating the Siege Machine in Heroic in under six minutes, and the other being simply completing the raid in heroic.
The other remaining node requires the player either complete Wrath of the Machine in Heroic.
The new update streamlines the expected loot rewards for players performing several of the game’s activities as well as raises the light level max to 400. If you’re not quite ready for the challenge of the Heroic Raid, you can use the following update guide to select the appropriate activities to climb the ladder up to 400. Corresponding with the release of Heroic Mode for Wrath of the Machine, your Maximum Light will be increased to 400. With this increase, many reward sources will also increase their maximum Light.

The recommended Light for these activities will remain the same with the exception of Nightfall, which will be increased to a recommended light of 380. The aim of the revisions is to make it easy for players to find their way up the path to the raid.
