Destiny: Rising, a free-to-play game by Bungie, is teaming up with Chinese giant NetEase to create the mobile game for Android and iOS, with a closed beta scheduled for November.
Bungie has entrusted its flagship saga to NetEase, creators of the upcomingMarvel Rivals, to develop the firstDestinymobile game, with Bungie’s constant support and supervision.Destiny: Risingwill be a free-to-play game set in an alternate timeline that explores events following the Dark Age. It features an original story, though familiar faces from the saga will make appearances.
One of the major innovations is the ability to choose between various characters, each with their own unique abilities, rather than the customizable protagonist that has defined the saga so far.This change will be accompanied by revamped gameplay, combining Campaign missions, cooperative six-player modes, and both Player vs. Environment and Versus modes.
Co-op play will be essential inDestiny: Rising,where players will also have the option to create clans, design shared spaces, and enjoy new mechanics adapted to the mobile format.
Destiny: Risingwill allow players to switch between first-person and third-person perspectives, and early images suggest a visual presentation that rivals the main series entries.And of course, the weapons! Players will have access to a customizable arsenal with numerous possible combinations, all designed to provide the most immersive and fun mobile experience possible.
We’ll be able to experience it with the closed beta in November, with registration available through the game’s official website, which will be available soon.
