Diablo IVhas announced season 5 during a new campfire chat event, interesting details were shared about“Vessel of Hatred,”the highly anticipated expansion for Blizzard’s hack ‘n’ slash game. Season 5 will arrive on August 6 and end on October 8. The new features will include a new game mode, a new series of quests, quality-of-life updates, and more.
More specifically, they have announced what they callPTR or Public Test Realm, which is essentially an early access that allows players to test the new season’s additions in a controlled manner. This was done during the last season and seemed to be a real success, soBlizzardhas decided to repeat the approach.
As confirmed, the PTR for Season 5 ofDiablo IVwill take place from June 25 to July 2, although it is important to note that it will only be accessible to PC users playing throughBattle.net.
The fifth season of Diablo IV includes a new main quest chain, new weapons and gear, and new quality-of-life improvements focused on endgame bosses, as well as updates to accessibility options.
But perhaps the most striking addition is the new roguelite mode, Infernal Hordes, where players will have to face waves of enemies to receive special rewards.
To access these hordes, players will need to use one of the eight available Infernal Compasses, an item that will mark the difficulty of the match.
Each horde will last 90 seconds, and when all enemies are defeated, players can choose between three Infernal Offers, abilities that will change their build within this mode, adding a random and improvisational element.
