Diablo 4 Familiar Sorcerer Leveling Build Season 6 – Conjurer

In thisDiablo 4Season 6SorcererLevelingBuild, I’ll teach you how to make an easy to play Conjurer build to use the newly addedSorcererSkills and aspects. This build is incredibly fun to play, with a rewarding multi-element rotation that delivers the “master of the elements” feel you want out of your sorcerer, and it can be easily upgraded with uniques to push up to Tier 2 Torment withouttemperingormasterworking. You will deal great damage, survive well thanks to barriers, and move fast through content.

I used thisbuildduring the review period as my second character on the account. By this point, I had unlocked some of the basic dungeon aspects, but due to the time constraints of the review server and the fact I played around with my Spiritborn a lot, I was so low on iron and rawhide that the idea ofTemperinganything was scary. So I decided to use my PTR-theorycraft from last month (in case you missed my “New Sorcerer” explanation here it is), and optimize it to match what I needed to get to Torment 1.

It turned out really amazing, and it felt exactly like I love mysorcererfeeling – a glass cannon with a giant bubble of “cant touch me” that commands an army of magical elemental summons who keep popping up and ruining demon’s days.

The core idea of thisbuildis to use a combination ofHydras,Lightning SpearsandFrozen Orbsto rotate through elements, buffing our critical withsparkwhen we need to recover mana, and summoning elemental familiars and daggers to trigger additional effects as we go. Your initial progression through thebuildwill be very standardspark, frozen orb, teleport, hydrafair. Then you’ll want ranks into the newFamiliarskill and its enhancements. We will take no masteries or ultimate and instead take theEnlightenmentkey passive and supplement ourbuildwith other smaller passives instead.

If you’re starting from scratch and have nothing, you may want to adapt a bit here or there based on what gear is dropping for you, so feel free to wait to put points into glass cannon if you are feeling weak, or do it right away if you have the barrier aspects unlocked.

Your gameplay rotation will be to summonHydra, summonfamiliar, summonlightning spear, summonfamiliar, castfrozen orb, summonfamiliar, castspark, cast orb, teleportwhen you need. The objective is to keep yourEnlightenmentbuff maxed out, giving you the combined total of your bonus cold, fire and lightning damage as a buff, and gain 25% multiplicative damage, 20% additive attack speed, and 45% additive mana regeneration. This means you can chain your orb casts and summons with little worry about resources thanks to chance to recover it from cold damage vs vulnerable (and completely forget about them when you acquire some uniques later). We have excellent survivability thanks to barriers and damage reduction fromTeleport, enhanced damage from the synergies vs burning and crowd controlled enemies, vulnerable and cold. Here’s the list of all the skills to pick

For yourSorcererEnchantments you will pickFrozen OrbandFamiliar.Frozen orbwill make it so you have a 20% chance to launch an extra orb whenever you cast a non-basic skill (including frozen orb),Familiarwill make it so every time you summon a conjuration, there’s a 25% chance you also summon a familiar of the same element. These two synergies are very useful for thebuildand your progression.

Aspects and equipment take thisbuildfrom powerful to crazy good, so you will want to find them as soon as you can, and venture into activities that may reward uniques even very early. You will notice in my footage that my gear is very far from perfect as I didn’t have all the manuals or materials to reroll tempers and farm, yet it still worked perfectly fine for progression even into areas I should not have been in (torment 2 without any paragon points!). Try to useLegendary Aspectsto adjust to your needs while you farm levels and better gear. In general you should not botherTempering itemsuntil after level 60, when you will get Item Power 750 items that will be your default for a while, but you can do it if you have an overabundance of materials and want to be as powerful as possible from early on with your rare manuals.

Thisbuildbegins with regular aspects, and optimizes with uniques that synergize amazingly well. You’ll find that uniques are quite common in the Expansion, be it from bosses or if you do the new endgame “Undercity” activity. You can even use a specific item to guarantee a unique drop. That said I didn’t have to farm at all and got these items playing naturally so I think they should be easier than they were before.

As a general note, try to prioritize Intelligence,Cooldown Reduction,Critical Strike Chance, Main skill Ranks, Crit Damage, Vulnerable Damage, Life & Armor. You will need to re-evaluate this for elemental resistances once you move into Torment, but our barriers are quite powerful and I could breeze through Torment 1 with only 55% resist.

Helmet

Aspect of the Deflecting Barrier: You have a 12.0% chance after taking direct damage to gain a Barrier equal to 20% of your Maximum Life for 10 seconds. This chance is doubled against Distant enemies.

This is unlocked from a dungeon in Hazewar so an easy pickup. I love having several sources of barrier to keep it up at all times and I try to work advantages like damage while barriers are up. If you feel you don’t need it early on, you can use anything here, but eventually it’ll come in rather handy.

Affixes to look for:

Aspect of Concentration: Casting a Conjuration Skill grants you 30.0%[x] Damage Reduction for 5 seconds.

We’ll be spamming those familiars and summons as often as possible, making this buff amazing for our tankiness. Of course you can pick some other aspect here if you feel you don’t need this at any point, but I think this particular aspect was behind many of my more daring ventures into difficult places.

Affixes

Serpentine Aspect: You may have 1 additionalHydraactive, andHydra’sduration is increased by 30%.

Our first offensive aspect is meant to allow us to summon an extrahydra. This works well for the “keep summoning” approach, but it also ensures everything is burning pretty much constantly, triggering damage buffs and heals.

Affixes

HOWEVER, there’s a unique not showcased on this video that is truly amazing if you can get it soon. This specific piece of equipment is the perfect synergy for ourbuild, making yourfamiliarskill more powerful, and allowing you to summon all three of them at once, giving you a permanent 3 buffs, plus all the extra goodies like duration, cooldown reduction, etc.

Sidhe Bindings– Unique can be target-farmed from Zir Lord of Blood.

Aspect of Fortune: Your Lucky Hit Chance is increased by 30%[+] while you have a Barrier active.

As I mentioned earlier, I like to have barriers up so we should make them work for us, and since we’re trying to trigger lucky hit effects, increasing our lucky hit chance fits very well.

Affixes

Legendary Aspect

Aspect of Slaughter: You gain 20% Movement Speed. Lose this bonus for 2.0 seconds after taking damage from a Close enemy.

Your boots aspect isn’t super important to thisbuild, but movement speed is excellent for sorcerers so it’s always a good thing to go to.

Affixes

Or you can use the Unique Boots Esu’s Heirloom, that work amazing with thisbuildto give you movement speed, resistances, critical strike damage and a buff from your movement speed bonus.

Esu’s Heirloom

Unique Modifiers

Wands come with Lucky Hit Chance and since we want to trigger those effects they are an excellent choice. You need to get a specific aspect that will start bringing ourbuildtogether.

Aspect of Elemental Constellation: Casting Pyromancy, Shock, and Frost Skills conjures a matching Elemental Dagger around you that pierces through enemies dealing 3129 damage after 3 seconds. The damage increases by 100% per matching elemental skill you cast.

This specific aspect is new and added with the base game patch 2.0 that launches with the Expansion, and works amazing with our multielementbuild. The idea is to constantly spawn summons and cast skills so you can constantly buff the damage your daggers will do, without you having to worry about them as they are forming independently of your rotation.

Affixes

Off-Hand Weapon

Aspect of Frozen Orbit:Frozen Orbexplodes 2 additional times at its destination for up to 85% of its damage.

This aspect is integral to aFrozen Orbbuildas we’ll be throwing those around everywhere. You will want to get it as soon as possible, so if it’s not dropping try getting some offensive caches from bartering to increase your chances.

Affixes

Conceited Aspect: Deal 45%[x] increased damage while you have a Barrier active.

We aim to have a barrier active all the time, so dealing more damage by barrier is a must. This is a good spot to use on your necklace so you maximize the damage buff.

Affixes

HOWEVER there’s obviously a God tier necklace for anyFrozen Orbbuild, and that is the Fractured Winterglass necklace. This works SO WELL with our conjurationbuild, that getting this necklace immediately allowed me to go deep into Torment tiers I was otherwise utterly unprepared for. YourFrozen Orbswill cast more, you’ll deal more damage, gain a great boost to resistance, reduce your cooldowns and get +skill ranks to Conjuration Mastery! I absolutely recommend you try to get this as soon as possible, it can be target farmed from Zir Lord of Blood.

Fractured Winterglass

Unique Modifiers

Aspect of Elemental Accuity: Casting a Pyromancy, Shock, or Frost Skill increases your Mana Regeneration by 25%[x] for 5 seconds, once per element. At maximum stacks, the total bonus is increased to 150%[x] for 10 seconds, but all stacks expire afterwards.

This aspect should resolve your mana regeneration issues very quickly, as long as you’re diligently cycling through your casts. You can use it or swap it as needed depending on how you’re doing, but it’s great assistance early on.

Affixes

HOWEVER, there’s also another Unique Ring that works in perfect synch with ourbuild. That is Tal-Rasha’s Iridiscent Loop. This unique ring, that you can target farm from Vashrean, will give you an amazing damage bonus for 8 seconds for each element you cast, stacking. This means you’r natural multielement conjuration rotation will keep you permabuffed. It also adds lucky hit chance, cooldown reduction, non-physical damage and damage reduction via Potent Warding passive ranks. Get it as soon as you can!

Tal Rasha’s Iridiscent Loop

Unique Modifiers

Edgemaster’s Aspect: Skills deal up to 25%[x] increased damage based on your available Primary Resource when cast, receiving the maximum benefit while you have full Primary Resource.

I didn’t have many mana issues and found myself in a good spot for max resource buffs. Both of the recommended rings can be adapted to match your situation. If you aren’t getting so many resources, you can always put something else here.

Affixes

If you are leveling a new character and not an alt, you’ll have very limited Runeword selection to start with, so you will most likely use gems. There is a specific type of rune that drops quite often so you can try and aim for it, but in general I would not worry about min-maxing with strong runes early on.

Pick your Mercenary

The Vessel of Hatred Expansion will allow you to hire a Mercenary to fight with you constantly. The best match for ourbuildis Varyana, because her skills boost your Attack Speed. You can get Varyana quickly by doing her quest as soon as it appears from the Den, then equip her and kill Elites to level up Rapport and unlock skill points. Select:

For your reinforcements you can really pick anything you like, as it’s a situational decision and it doesn’t happen all that often. But that attack speed buff from Varyana can be quite awesome so work on her rapport.

This is a levelingbuildintended to make early game progression straight forward and fun, while taking advantage of the new skills added with the latest patch. I found my conjurersorcerera joy to play, and it got more and more fun the higher up I went as I slotted it with better gear.

If you want to continue thisbuildand begin your paragon progression, you will want to get the uniques as soon as possible and use your time in Torment 1 and 2 to get GA gear and move around some skillpoints for obsolete boosts as your gear replaces damage reduction or resource needs. In general, work toward these boards and glyphs:

These boards have useful blue and yellow nodes such as damage to vulnerable enemies, attack speed, elemental damages. You’ll also want to get as many elemental resistance and damage reduction nodes as you need to counter the negative effects of Torment.

In general, theSorcereris in a fantastic spot with the expansion and I expect will be ranking as S tier and most popular forbuildsonce again, despite the new rush of Spiritborns. So what do you think of my Conjuration Master? Will you be trying a Sorc or theSpiritborn? Some other Class? Let me know, in the comments below.
