Diablo 4 Necromancer Build – Spirit Bomber
Diablo 4 Necromancer Build – Spirit Bomber: In this Diablo 4 EndgameNecromancerBuild Guide, I’m going to show you my Spirit Bomber Build which focuses on the use ofBone Spirit. If you’re looking for a Diablo 4 Endgame Necromancer Build that is aimed at World Tier 3, and one that deals incredibly high burst and AoE damage, then this Diablo 4 Build Guide is for you!
So let’s talk about the general concept of thisDiablo IV Endgame Buildand Bone Spirit. What Bone Spirit does is it shoots out a spirit that does AoE damage, seeks targets from a modest distance, and then explodes. As such, you deal increased damage for each point of Essence you have, thereby fully draining your resources, which makes it tricky to use.
Bone Spirit also has a cooldown of about 12 seconds at max rank, although if you inflictCritical Strikeswith it, you’ll reduce this by 6 seconds, letting you use it again pretty quickly. If this hits an enemy, you generate 30 Essence over the next 4 seconds so it’s not as bad as it first appears.
Although I have gear with bonuses forBone Spear, I do not use a Core Skill and I get the bulk of my damage from Bone Spirit whereas some come fromBone Splinters. This means that there are two aspects that this Spirit Bomber Diablo 4 Necromancer Build needs to focus on. First is how to get Bone Spirit in order to deal enough damage that it can reliably clear a room or a large pack of enemies to use your main DPS Skill and not have big downtime in between use. And second, is how to regenerate enough Essence so that you get the maximum possible damage with this Skill.
These consist of selecting theOssified Essence Key Passivetogether with triggeringBone Splintersand Corpse Tendrils. You’re also going to make use ofLegendary Aspectslike theAspect of Serrationand theAspect of Exposed Flesh, all of which I’ll discuss in detail in the next couple of sections.
Each Diablo 4 Necromancer Build comprises the 6 Active Skills they have equipped and changing theseSkillscan drastically alter the way the Necromancer Class in Diablo IV plays. In this section, we’ll take a look at what Skills you should slot for the Spirit Bomber Necromancer Diablo 4 Endgame Build. By the time you reach Level 50, you’ll approximately have 58 points, assuming that you’ve accumulated enough Renown from different regions to gain 10 extra points. So your Skill distribution should look something like this:
The above list gives you the general order to invest in Skills, but keep in mind that you should prioritize picking up new Active Skills over investing in passives, so pick up passives later if you can get new Active Skills when you level up.
In this section, I’ll discuss how the Skills work for the current Spirit Bomber Endgame Build of the Necromancer Class. The strategies will change depending on the type of foe you’re facing whether they’re comprised of a large group of enemies orElitesandBosses.
So let’s take a look at how to get the most damage out of Bone Spirit first with the Ossified Essence Key Passive. If you’re doing any Bone Build, this is a no-brainer because it provides you with a 1% increase in damage for each point of Essence you have above 50 when cast. Not only does Bone Spirit itself gain extra damage per point of Essence you have but you’re also going to get additional damage from this Key Passive if you cast it above 50 Essence. This means that you should try to cast it at full Essence every time.
Another way to further boost damage is by equipping gear that has the Aspect of Serration, which makes it so that Ossified Essence increases yourCritical Strike Damagewith Bone Skills by 1% per Essence above 50. This means that you’re not only going to get regular damage but you’re also going to get increased Critical Strike Damage, and that’s a big part of the reason why bonuses pertaining to crits are a huge focus of this D4 Necro Build. Furthermore, you’ll want to look for those that give you increased Essence on your gear. The higher your Maximum Essence is, the more damage Bone Spirit will inflict when you put everything together.
In terms of getting our resources back, we have Bone Splinters, which is our Basic Skill. This is the simplest way to tackle a lone enemy, for example, or others where you won’t want to waste your Bone Spirit on since Bone Splinters does quite a bit of damage. You can kill targets with it very easily with this Spirit Bomber D4 Necro Build, particularly if you’re in the melee range.
Next, you’ll need the Aspect of Exposed Flesh. This makes it so that on aLucky Hit, you have up to a 10% chance to generate a maximum of 50 Essence when you hit aVulnerableenemy with a Bone Skill. Bone Splinters and Bone Spear can apply Vulnerability but really the way you’ll primarily do it is withCorpse Tendrils.
Corpse Tendrils pulls in enemies by using a Corpse. It Stuns them as well as sets Vulnerability. This is really great for grouping them up, which you’ll need for your Bone Spirit because then they’re all packed nicely for your explosion, and all you need for this is a Corpse. So cast Bone Spirit, use a Corpse to pull in all the remaining enemies, make them Vulnerable, and then use it again. They not only take increased damage from being Vulnerable but you also fully regain your Essence after the cast so Corpse Tendrils is very nice for this Diablo IV Necromancer Build.
A great Legendary Aspect that goes well here is theAspect of Grasping Veins, which you can get by completing theCorrupted Grotto DungeoninKehjistan. This makes it so that you have up to 20% increasedCritical Strike Chancefor 6 seconds when you cast Corpse Tendrils and also up to 60% Critical Strike Damage Bonus against affected enemies. So if you catch anything in there, they’re going to be Vulnerable and then you’re going to have a greater chance to critically strike them. If the Aspect of Grasping Veins is imprinted on a Two-Handed Weapon, your Critical Strike Chance and Damage will go up by as much as 40% and 120%, respectively.
Another aspect to consider is theAspect of the Umbral, which can be acquired by finishing theChampion’s Demise DungeoninDry Steppes. This makes it so that when you crowd control an enemy, you gain up to 4 of your primary resource back. So again, when you use Corpse Tendrils, you’re going to group up all these enemies, and doing so will instantly give you a bunch of resources.
Now let’s talk about the survivability of this D4 Necromancer Build. How do you survive as a Solo Necromancer? First, we have theAspect of the Protectorfrom theLost Archives DungeoninFractured Peaks. This is pretty straightforward because it gives you an instant damage shield whenever you fight Elites or Bosses.
The second is throughDecrepify. Enemies struck by this Curse Skill deal less damage for about 10 seconds. They’re also Slowed so you’ll have increased damage to CC targets. Here, you’ll want to unlock theAbhorrent Decrepifyupgrade as it has a Lucky Hit Chance of reducing the cooldown of your Skill. In effect, Bone Spirit’s cooldown may be lower, which is great and it also affects yourBone Storm Ultimate Skill.
Bone Storm is the other way to stay alive while dealing better damage thanks to your raised Critical Strike Chance. If you have theAspect of Shielding Storm, you gain aBarrierequal to 5% of your Base Life when Bone Storm hits an enemy. Not only will you deal a crazy amount of damage against say, 10-15 enemies, but you’re also going to be unkillable for the entire duration of this Ultimate, thereby considerably helping with your survivability.
Here, you’ll also want theOsseous Gale Aspect, which makes it so that Bone Storm consumes up to 8 Corpses to lengthen its duration by up to 16 seconds. As you can see, you don’t haveCorpse Explosionin this Spirit Bomber Necro Build and it’s because of this aspect. Between the Cooldown Reduction of Decrepify and the extended duration of Bone Storm, you should be able to keep this Ultimate up, perhaps 5-10 seconds in between Bone Storms to help keep you alive.
Next isRapid Ossification, which makes it so that for every 100 Essence you spend, you reduce the cooldown of all your Bone Skills by 1.5 seconds. So this is huge, especially if you have any Cooldown Reduction Bonuses on your Skills and gear.
ForBook of the Dead, I’ve chosen to sacrifice all my Minions by investing in the 3rd nodes of the Skirmisher for Skeletal Warriors, Cold form for Skeletal Mages, and Iron for the Golem. But if you choose to play this Diablo IV Necro Build with Minions, which you absolutely can, you’ll want theRequiem Aspectthat gives up to a maximum of 5 Essence per active summon. So you can have 10-12 Minions on the floor and gain back a ton of Essence so that your Skills will hit harder when you cast them.
If you look at the Skill Tree for this Diablo 4 Necromancer Build, you’ll notice that every Bone Passive has been taken so anything that increases damage from a distance or at close range, damage to cursed enemies, etc. Now some of these won’t be available if you have Minions but that’s the trade-off there.
At World Tier 3, you’ll gain access to many items together with their bonuses. It can be challenging to determine the right ones to keep for your Diablo IV Necromancer Endgame Build without the proper direction. So in this section, I’ll discuss the best gear bonuses you should chase after together with theGemsand aspects to place in them. Remember that you can replace unwanted affixes atThe Occultistand upgrade your gear atThe Blacksmithfor the best results.
For theWeapon, the bonuses you’ll want include the following:
I’ve rolled the Osseous Gale Aspect on my Weapon, otherwise, I would’ve placed it somewhere else. For the gem, you’ll want to place theEmeraldfor increased Critical Strike Damage against Vulnerable enemies.
ForArmor, you have the Helm,Chest Armor,Gloves,Pants, andBoots. The major bonuses you’ll want here include the following:
For the gem, you’ll want to slot theRubyto raise your Maximum Life. I also have the Aspect of the Protector, Aspect of Shielding Storm, and Aspect of Serration on my Armor.
For Jewelry, you have theAmuletand 2Rings. The gear bonuses you’ll need include the following:
You should then slot any of the gems that will grant additional Elemental Resistances based on what you currently lack.
At Level 50, you unlock the basic Paragon board to further enhance your Diablo 4 Spirit Bomber Endgame Necromancer Build. I’m using the Exploit Glyph to deal increased damage to Vulnerable enemies. Doing so also increases your overall damage for 6 more seconds.
For theNecromancer Paragon Board, you’ll want to pick the Bone Graft, which makes it so that hitting enemies with Bone Skills increases your damage and Maximum Essence. This stacks up to 3x. But our priority at the beginning is to get the Rare Node Reinvigorate and the nodes around it to raise your Max Essence while regenerating this resource upon killing a target. As such, you’ll be able to use Bone Spirit at Max Essence every time. Next, you’ll move onto the Calcified Node to increase your damage and Critical Strike Damage with Bone Skills.
The Skill rotation for this Spirit Bomber Diablo 4 Necromancer Build is to run up to enemies, hit Bone Spirit to destroy a few of them, use Corpse Tendrils to pull in the survivors, and then trigger Bone Spirit again to finish them off. Rinse and repeat. Remember to activate Bone Storm to run around the map and run through groups of enemies or whenever you’re in trouble. Additionally, make sure to use Decrepify to debuff them while reducing the cooldown of Bone Spirit and Bone Storm to use them more regularly.
Again, you can use this Build with Minions in order to regenerate more Essence to further boost damage but you’ll need to sacrifice some Bone Passives in order to select Survivability Passives for your summons. Otherwise, they’ll constantly die and you’ll have to manage them more constantly throughout fights.
