Blizz also revealed a brand new cinematic which shows the intro of the game. It shows a lone figure trekking through the unforgiving wilderness of Sanctuary, stumbling upon a cave but still in danger of wolves. They awaken and it switches from cutscene to in gameplay. Check it out below:

The open beta contains the Prologue and the whole of Act 1. This means players can explore the first area Fractured Peaks. There will be some limitations to character progress as you will only be able to level to 25. Once you cap you can still go ahead and hunt down demons to your heart’s content but won’t be able to level more. The beta will include dungeons, quests and of course plenty of loot.

This will be your first opportunity to fight the Burning Hells before Diablo 4’s official launch on June 6th. However, this won’t be the full experience as the devs will be testing a number of different areas. So be weary that you may run into performance issues, outages and some features that may not work yet. This will be your chance to give feedback on the game and the team will take it into consideration.

If you have a Beta Early Access code you can redeem it via the website diablo.com/beta and log in/create a Battle.net account. If you pre-purchase Diablo 4 you will automatically have access to the Early Access Beta.

For PC players your account will be flagged for access straight away, while consoles players will need a platform-specific code to download the Beta. This will be emailed to your address that is connected to your Battle.net account.

A dev livestream will be taking place on February 28th at 11:00 A.M. PST. Lead world designer Art Peshkov, lead systems designer Meng Song, and game director Joe Shely will take part. You can check out the stream on Twitch and Youtube. This will concentrate on the game’s Stronghold and Armor systems, plus Open Beta details.
