Diablo 4 Werebear Druid Build – Pulverizer

Diablo 4 Werebear Druid Build – Pulverizer– In this Diablo 4 Build Guide I’ll show you how to play my Pulverizing Werebear Build, which is a tanky melee focused Diablo 4 Druid Build that uses Pulverize to decimate enemies in oneOverpoweredswing, as well as other Werebear Skills in order to pound enemies to a pulp! This Build is aimed at Tiers 1 & 2 of the game, and is a beginner Diablo 4 Werebear Druid Build that shows you the basics.

The general strategy for this Diablo 4 Werebear Druid Leveling Build is to lead off with an OverpoweredPulverizeoften wiping out an entire pack of enemies in one swing or close to it, or using Poison Creeper to root enemies and then Pulverizing them. Pulverize can Overpower every 12 seconds as long as your HP is over 80%, so you’ll need to ensure you have high Max Life, and you’ll need to mitigate damage and heal with Potions as needed.

Overpower damage is extra damage equal to the sum of the player’s current and Fortified Life, and has a native 3% chance to occur naturally when attacking, but can be increased. BecauseEnhanced Pulverizedoes this guaranteed if you’re over 80% HP once every 12 seconds, this is particularly deadly, and synergizes well with how Overpower works, since you need high HP to get the most out of it anyway. But if you’re wondering why you see Overpower (blue numbers) damage some times when not using Pulverize, this is why.

But this is not the only way we get Overpower damage from this Build, in fact there are a few. Another way is by using theObsidian Slam Spirit Boonin conjunction with the Legendary Aspect:Aspect of the Ursine Horror, which not only makes your Pulverize deal damage over time after it is used, but also converts it to an Earth Skill which makes this Spirit Boon apply to it. You need only defeat 10 enemies before using Pulverize to get this to trigger, and often times you will Overpower and kill 10 enemies in one swing, which will result in an immediate second Overpower.

The last is by usingProvocation, which allows you to Overpower every 20 seconds if you’ve remained in Werebear form for 20 seconds. This is not easy to do, but not impossible either, as the timer does stop for a few seconds if you return to human form, so you do have some leeway before it is wiped entirely. You can also simply swing withMaulto keep yourself in Werebear form if necessary.

Maintaining close to max HP is vital for this Build because that’s how you’re going to get Overpowered Pulverize attacks regularly, which drastically boost its damage so there is also a big focus on mitigating damage through resistances andFortify, which subsequently boosts Overpower damage anyway.Ursine Strengthalso boosts your damage by 30% while over 80% HP, so you get the idea…

Each Diablo 4 Werebear Druid Build is made up of the 6 Active Skills they have equipped and changing theseSkillscan drastically change the way a Diablo 4 Druid Build plays. In this section we’ll take a look at what Skills you should slot for the Pulverizing Werebear Diablo 4 Build. Your Skill distribution should look something like this:

The above list gives you the general order to invest in Skills, but keep in mind that you should prioritize picking up new Skills over investing in passives, so pick up passives later if you can get new Skills when you level up.

The strategy for handling enemies is a bit different than Bosses, but I’ll get into that in just a second. First let’s talk about Pulverize, the namesake of this Diablo 4 Werebear Druid Build, and why it’s so important.

The idea when handling groups of enemies is that you lead off with an Overpowered Pulverize if you have the Spirit already built up. Because we have theEnhanced Pulverizepassive, Pulverize will hit like an absolute freight train once every 12 seconds as long as we maintain over 80% max HP during that time. This often one shots just about every normal enemy and below, and severely weakens anything else that’s still alive, and this effect should be off “cooldown” on just about every pull.

However, if you drop below 80% HP at any time during the cooldown for this effect, it will stop cooling down and won’t begin again until you are over 80% HP. This makes it vital to stay above 80% HP as much as possible, and why Max Life,Fortifyand Barriers are great for this Diablo 4 Werebear Druid Leveling Build, so that you can get the mega damage from this every 12 seconds without interruption. So make sure to keep an eye on your Health!

Maul is your Basic Attack Spirit generator and you’ll use this when you don’t have enough Spirit to use Pulverize. It hits in a cone in front of you, so aim for the center of groups of enemies. It has an extremely slow Attack Speed, so I highly recommend using theRapid Aspectwith this Build in order to attack more quickly when using this Skill, otherwise it tends to feel a bit sluggish. You will need to use it in order to generate Spirit, so either be ok with slower Attack Speed, or use this Aspect.

You can upgrade this with Enhanced Maul and Wild Maul that will Knock Down enemies every so often, which is a great defensive play. Knocking Down Elites prevents them from damaging you, and you can even deal more damage against them if you have Damage vs. Crowd Controlled enemies.

When facing large groups of enemies with this Diablo 4 Werebear Druid Leveling Build, that Pulverize just won’t reach all of, Poison Creeper is the answer. Lead off with this to Immobilize enemies and Poison them simultaneously. This skill is hands down one of the best Druid Skills in Diablo 4 and just about every Diablo IV Druid Build should be running it!

Once you’ve cast Poison Creeper run in and Pulverize as close to the center of the group as you can, or begin attacking with Maul to build Spirit and then use Pulverize if you don’t have enough Spirit to use Pulverize first. This will pull you out of Werebear form momentarily but you will get right back in and the timer will continue to tick towards 20 seconds for Provocation so it’s not a big deal.

The Brutal Poison Creeper upgrade also increases your Crit Chance against entangled enemies by 20%, so I suggest taking it. Overpowered attacks can still Crit for even more damage, and you’ll see these as bright orange numbers!

This skill reduces the damage nearby enemies deal by 70% for 4 seconds, and is great for large trash pulls of enemies with Elites where you might be in a bad spot if you don’t use it. Once you’ve upgraded it with Enhanced Debilitating Roar then it will also give you a good amount of Fortify, which will help increase your Overpower damage.

Trample is both great at AoE and focus damage, and excels at defeating Elites and packs of enemies alike, particularly when Overpowered by Provocation. It’s your hardest hitting Druid Skill and you’ll want to try to use it to run enemies into walls for maximum damage. This will leave themStunned, allowing you to go to town on them without fear of retaliation.

Once you have the Savage Trample upgrade this will provide you with 20 Spirit on use, which is excellent since you will have to use Maul a lot with this Diablo 4 Werebear Druid Build, and this allows you to use it a little less often.

Boss fights are not the fastest with this Build since it’s a tanky Diablo 4 Druid Build, but you have relatively high surviveability from things like: Iron Fur, Ursine Strength,Wariness,Iron Feather, andBolster. There are more passives you can take later as well, but you likely won’t until you get higher levels simply due to lack of Skill Points.

This Skill increases your damage and damage reduction by 20%, increasing your damage each second you remain in its form, as well as extending its duration for each kill by 1 second by up to 10 seconds. This skill is a great way to further mitigate damage during Boss encounters, but it also works well in groups of enemies as well where you can extend its duration.

Enhanced Grizzly Rage makes youUnstoppablefor its duration, which is phenomenal as this means you cannot be Crowd Controlled whatsoever while it is active. You will use this when facing elites and challenging Bosses a lot, and the final upgrade,Supreme Grizzly Ragegives youFortifyevery second its active, helping to prevent even more damage while simultaneously making your Overpower stronger.

Bonuses you want to look for areCritical Strike Chance,Overpower Damage,Damage to Close Enemies,Damage to Healthy Enemies,Willpower,Life on Kill. Overpower Damage is huge for this Build because we take advantage of it constantly with our Overpowered Pulverize attack, so you really can’t get this too high. Maces come with this by default so either look for a one-handed or two-handed Mace if possible.

Remember that you can swing Maul over and over to stay in Werebear form if there are no enemies to kill. This will help keep your Provocation passive active.
