The Netflix adaptation of Dragon Age: Absolution will be released this December just in time for the festive season.
The Dragon Age series will be hittingNetflixin December with a six-part season. The animated adaptation will be released onDecember 9th. The series was announced back in June, and will be sharing the same setting as theDragon Age Dreadwolfset in Tevinter. This will focus on a new set of characters, following protagonist Miriam.
Involved in the adaptation is writer Mairghread Scott who has written for the Justice League Dark Apokolips War. The cast is also full of talents such as Kimberly Brooks, Matt Mercer (known for Overwatch’s Cassidy and roleplaying Twitch channel Critical Role), Ashly Burch (known for Aloy inHorizon Zero DawnandHorizon Forbidden West), Sumalee Montanto, Phil LaMarr, Keston John, Josh Keaton and Zehra Fazal.
Netflix has been busy releasing series based on games with the most recent news being the live actionThe Witcher changing up main lead Henry Cavillto Liam Hemsworth for the fourth season. There have also been other animated series such asCastlevania,Dragon’s Dogmaand also Arcane. Games that have been released for some time also gain a boost when new series are released. Hopefully, this invites new fans into the Dragon Age franchise.
Dragon Age: Absolutionwill kick off on December 9th with all six episodes to binge.
