Dragon Age: The Veilguard Confirms Release Date
Although the date was leaked a few hours earlier, EA and BioWare waited to officially confirm the release date and open pre-orders, which will be available in Standard and Deluxe editions with exclusive cosmetic items.
“As someone who has been working on Dragon Age for over 15 years, I know how much our community has been waiting for this day, and I’m just as excited to share and celebrate that the game will officially release on October 31st,” says John Epler, Creative Director of Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
“We wanted to give you the option to truly express yourself, and do it in a world full of adventure and danger. So whether you’re a Warrior, a Rogue, or a Mage, we’re excited for you to gear up, gather your party, and embark on another thrilling adventure through Thedas this Halloween.”
This adventure can be led by whoever you want: you can fully customize your character, who will become a heroic figure in Thedas against the corrupt elven gods, accompanied by seven companions from all the iconic factions of the saga.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard will be sold in a Standard Edition, priced at $69.99 on PS5 or Xbox Series X|S, and 59.99 euros on PC. But if you pre-order, you’ll receive the Blood Dragon Armor cosmetic set for Warrior, Mage, and Rogue.
The Deluxe Edition of Dragon Age will cost $89.99 on console and 79.99 euros on PC and will include the following:
• Blood Dragon Armor Cosmetic
• 6 Weapon Appearances for Rook. Cosmetic Only.
• 1 Warrior Armor Set Appearance for Rook. Cosmetic Only.
• 1 Mage Armor Set Appearance for Rook. Cosmetic Only.
• 1 Rogue Armor Set Appearance for Rook. Cosmetic Only.
• 7 Weapon & 7 Armor Set Appearances for Companions. Cosmetic Only.
The game will also require 100 GB of free space on SSD storage, with a note that AMD CPUs on Windows 11 will require AGESA V2 1.2.0.7 without exception.
Although BioWare confirms that it’s okay to install the game on an HDD and it will be compatible, they recommend using an SSD. The Veilguard will use the DX12 API, and the developers have not yet revealed if the new Dragon Age game will benefit from Ray Tracing.
As seen in the recommended requirements for Dragon Age: The Veilguard, it is advised to use Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 3 3300X processors along with 16 GB of RAM.
For the graphics card, a NVIDIA RTX 2070 or an AMD Radeon RX 5700XT is needed, so the rest is up to each player and what they have available in their PC.
It’s also unknown if there will be support for NVIDIA DLSS, AMD FSR, or Intel XeSS, but it’s assumed that these details will be provided in the months leading up to the game’s release.
EA and BioWare plan to release this new adventure during the spookiest month of the year, joining others like Silent Hill 2 Remake, Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, and Metaphor: ReFantazio.
Now everyone knows the PC requirements forDragon Age: The Veilguard, which will require at least 100 GB of SSD storage, a crucial requirement for playing on Recommended settings.

The last two games from BioWare were Mass Effect: Andromeda and Anthem. They’ve lost the magic, and Veilguard certainly doesn’t look like it’s bringing the magic back. If it fails as badly as the last 2, will EA shut down the studio?
