Dragon Quest Heroes coming to North America and Europe in 2015 as a PS4 exclusive

Feb. 26, 2015

Dragon Quest Heroes which released in Japan on February 26th has been confirmed to being in the process of localisation by Square Enix and Sony. Although no specific release date has been confirmed it is set for a window of this year, both physical and digital editions of the game have been confirmed for the PlayStation 4. The PlayStation 3 version of the title is not being localised for North America and Europe however.

Dragon Quest Heroes is a spin off of the Dragon Quest series and is the series’ first Action-RPG. This title also marks the first collaboration between Square Enix and Koei Tecmo; with developers of Hyrule Warriors, ω-Force, co-developing the game with Square Enix. Dragon Quest creator Yuji Horii was also heavily involved in the project in addition to composer Koichi Sugiyama.

With Square Enix CEO Yosuke Matsuda recently acknowledging the demand for Dragon Quest titles in North America and Europe and has promised more announcements of localisations in there future. Fextralife will continue to keep you up to date with the latest Dragon Quest Heroes news and information, in addition to any further localisation news, fingers crossed.

Glad to see that this is coming over. I’ve always liked the Dynasty Warriors games as good ways to pass time and Warriors Orochi 3 was legitimately fun. And since Hyrule Warriors showed they could do quite polished crossovers, I’m gonna give myself the indulgence of getting a little hype.

Deep breath Yaaaaay.

Square and what? Koei? I don’t like theDynasty Warriorsgames. I hope the next main title in the series comes to the PS4 too.
