Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake Teases More Details
Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remakeis about to launch on PCs and consoles, and it’s becoming more common to see details of an adventure that more users are eagerly awaiting.
The Dragon Questsaga forPC, Steam Deck, PS4, PS5, Xbox, and Switchis set to receiveDragon Quest III HD-2Din November, a remake that Square Enix is now teasing with more updates ahead of its release.
The game will feature monster tournaments in arenas, rescuing creatures, and more completely reworked locations.
Square Enix, as the publisher, and Artdink Corporation, as the developer, recently released new information about the game, along with previously unseen screenshots.
They first mentioned the new Monster Arena Tournaments exclusive to Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake, which were not part of the original game.
“There are several monster arenas scattered around the world, each hosting its own ranking tournaments,” the developers explained.
“The key to winning these tournaments is assembling your toughest team of up to three rescued monsters. Furthermore, rescuing more than one of the same species will make that type of creature even stronger. Do everything you can to gather a strong group of creatures to lead you to victory—and, most importantly, to a bunch of rewards!”
They also warn that if your team is too weak to conquer any tournament, you can go back to the main adventure, as there are many chances to encounter a stronger monster.
Each tournament consists of a series of three or four battles where the team cannot heal each other, so it’s essential to include at least one monster that can restore HP.
Finally, they advise setting up the behavior of your monsters through ‘Tactics’ in the battle menu, as these tactical adjustments could be the key to victory.
They also mention that it’s beneficial to acquire several monsters of the same species to make them stronger. Rescuing more than one monster of the same species offers advantages: the first rescued will level up, and the power of that species will also increase.
This will not only boost the monsters’ attributes but will also allow them to learn new spells and abilities, making it easier for them to succeed in tournaments.
Rescuing monsters is always a good idea, as any friendly creature seeking help can be checked by the monster tamer vocation and assist you before each rescue.
Interact with every friendly monster you see in towns, dungeons, or secret spots, as you may be able to rescue them and have them help you in the adventure.
Once you’ve rescued enough monsters, Monty (the Monster Monitor) will reward you. This will prevent friendly monsters from fleeing when you approach, and they also gain the animal instinct ability to sense how many friendly creatures are nearby.
Monster tamers also learn more skills based on the number of monsters you’ve saved, creating a unique symbiosis.
Square Enixand Artdink Corporation confirm thatDragon Quest III HD-2D Remakeis packed with all kinds of civilizations and cultures completely redone.
As you can see in the image gallery we’ve shared, Romaria and Mur appear. The former features an imposing castle, and the latter is a snow-covered village.
We can already see that Dragon Quest III HD-2D teases more updates on the remake, alongside fully reworked locations.
