On the Japanese magazine Weekly Famitsu digital sales,Dragon Quest XIsold113,182 copieson PS4 in its first two days on the shelves (from July 29th to July 30th), while only62,939 copieswere sold digitally on the 3DS.

This explains the strong initial sales reported by Square Enix for the PS4 when you also factor in the PS4 launch being only in Asian in the meantime.
