Dragon’s Dogma 2 Updated with Resolution and Performance Improvements
Dragon’s Dogma 2releases an update that improves the game’s performance and resolution across all platforms, depending on the chosen mode.
Without overhauling its gameplay, the truth is that Hideaki Itsuno’s RPG (who has since left Capcom) offers an immersive open world that’s hard to leave. Fans, however, are still eagerly awaiting news of the rumored DLC currently in development.
Additionally, Capcom has released a new update that enhances the resolution and performance of the game across all its versions.
As a result, we can now say that the current version ofDragon’s Dogma IIis much smoother and more visually impressive than the one launched in March of this year.
There’s also the possibility of future improvements for the RPG on PlayStation 5 Pro. New reports suggest that the console renders 50% faster than the standard PS5 and Xbox Series X.
Capcom has announced the new features of the update, now available for download forDragon’s Dogma 2on all platforms—PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC (Steam).
It’s worth noting that the two existing graphics modes (quality/fidelity mode and performance mode) are still in place, so resolution and performance will vary accordingly.
On Xbox Series S, the game can run at 40 FPS at certain moments (between 35 and 40 frames per second) if performance mode is selected.
Now,Dragon’s Dogma IIis capable of reaching 60 FPS on PS5 and Xbox Series X in performance mode, with a maximum frame rate of 40 FPS in quality mode.
At the moment, we still don’t know the exact details of howDragon’s Dogma 2performs on PS5 Pro. Sony’s new console renders about 50% faster than the standard PS5, meaning the game could run at even more than 60 FPS.
