Elden Ring Euporia Build – Divine Warrior (Shadow of The Erdtree)

In theShadow of the Erdtree Euporia Build, I’m going to be showing you myDivine Warriorbuild. This build uses theEuporiaweapon, which is a hidden weapon you can find close to the end of the DLC.

In this Elden Ring Build Guide, I’ll be showing you my Euporia build. This is aShadow of the Erdtreebuild that takes place after level 150. If you’ve been looking for a Twinblade build that deals great damage with it’s weapon skill Euporia Vortex, then you might want to check this build-out.

We have over 110 Elden Ringbuilds. Each one is meticulously crafted to offer unique playstyles, strategies, and experiences, ensuring there’s something for every adventurer in the Lands Between. Whether you seek the raw power of heavy weapons, the finesse of spellcasting, or the versatility of hybrid builds, our collection has you covered. Explore the depths of the game’s mechanics and unleash your full potential with our diverse array of builds.

So let’s start by taking a general look at theEuporiaweapon. This is atwin bladethat weighs 8.5, which ties it for the heaviest twin blade in the game, along with theGargoyle’s Twinblade. This weapon looks quite similar to those weapons. It dealsphysicalandholy damage, and scales withstrength, dexterity, andfaith, just like those weapons as well, making it likely that theGargoyle’s weaponswere modeled after this weapon or vice versa.

This weapon scales much better withfaiththan with eitherstrengthordexterity. So, if you’re trying to get max attack power out of this weapon at lower levels, you should just meet the requirements forstrengthanddexterityand then focus on increasingfaith. The great thing about having highfaithscaling is that it allows you to use this weapon and pair it with asealin order to castincantationsthat have highfaithrequirements and cast them effectively since you’ll be investing a lot of points intofaith.

Now, I haven’t showcasedincantationswith this specific build because you can use whatever incantations you want. I wanted to showcase how to use this weapon more effectively rather than focusing on spells. So, whatever spells you like that havefaithrequirements can be used for this build. I do haveGolden Vowhere since it makes sense to buff our melee damage, but otherwise, use whatever incantations you prefer that have predominantlyfaithrequirements.

Next, let’s take a look at the weapon skill,Euporia Vortex. This skill takes about a second to wind up the blade, and then it starts spinning as you walk forward, hitting repeatedly. This reminds you ofSpinning Weapon, or if you’re familiar with theGodskin Apostleboss fight, that boss tends to use a similar attack. This weapon skill is rather expensive at 28FP. It’s one of the most expensive weapon skills inElden Ring.

It deals okay damage, but there’s a kicker. This weapon has a special property where if you attack repeatedly within a short period, roughly 10 seconds, and hit about seven times when two-handing, your blades will start to glow. This doesn’t count if you’re hitting undead enemies or enemies that are already dead. When your blades glow, you’ll have 35 flatholy damageadded to your weapon for about 15 seconds. Additionally, yourEuporia Vortexwill be charged up, dealing about 25% more damage in my testing and shooting a beam that can hit enemies at range. Using this chargedEuporia Vortexwill drain the charge from the weapon, removing the extraholy damageand returning it to normal.

The strategy with this weapon is to charge it up until the blades glow, then use the weapon skill within the 15-second window, and repeat this process. There’s a higher tier of this buff if you hit even more times in the 10-second window, roughly 14 hits, giving you 70holy damageadded to your weapon. When you useEuporia Vortexwith this higher tier, it lasts longer and deals more damage. However, achieving this higher tier is difficult, often requiring you to hit multiple enemies simultaneously.

In essence, you want to attack rapidly with this weapon to charge it up, then find the opportune moment to useEuporia Vortexwithin the 15-second window. I’ve used the two-handed version of this weapon for fast attacks, not only to build up the charge but also becauseRotten Winged Sword Insignia, one of our talismans, builds up more quickly with rapid hits, regardless of each attack’s damage. This allows for quick damage increases fromRotten Winged Sword Insignia.

For mySacred Seal, I use theErdtree Sealbecause of my highfaith. With 70faithand plans to reach 80, this seal effectively casts spells. This build can use almost any incantation with highfaithscaling.

Armor-wise, I use theDivine Birdsetfor its good poise (over 51 natively), decent protection, and stylish look. This armor complements the weapon well. Having 51 poise is almost a must for this build because you need to play hyper-aggressively to charge upEuporia Vortex. Trading damage is inevitable, so high protection and at least 51 poise are crucial.

When I started with this build, I tried using theDivine Bird Feathersincantation because the helm of this armor boosts its damage and provides somestrengthanddexterity. However, the helm reduces the effectiveness of replenishing flasks. Unfortunately, this incantation underperforms, providing low damage for its highFPand stamina cost. I’m hoping for a buff to this spell in the future, which could make it a viable addition to this build.

So, talisman-wise, there are a couple of ways you can go, and I’ll show you how I’m set up and explain why, but you can certainly do it other ways.

First of all, I have theTwo-Handed Sword Talisman. This is a new talisman. Since we are playing two-handed, it increases the damage of basically all of your attacks, except your weapon skill. We use our regular attacks, running attacks, and jumping attacks far more than our weapon skill in this build, so this talisman just stays.

Secondly, I have theTwo-Headed Turtle Talisman, which is a must for this build because you are attacking as rapidly as you can, as often as you can, dodging, attacking, and dodging over and over. You almost never want to cease, so having as much stamina recovery as you can is ideal.

Then, I haveRotten Winged Sword Insignia, which increases your attack power as you attack rapidly. Even just one or two swings of this weapon will start triggering this effect with every enemy you face. You’re going to have this buff up a lot when you’re playing this build. You could make a case for usingCrusade Insigniainstead if you prefer, because you just need to kill an enemy to get a buff for a bit of time, then kill the next enemy, and so on.

However, I really like thatRotten Winged Sword Insigniawill trigger all the time on any enemy you’re facing. For instance, if you come upon aBlack Knightthat’s all by itself and you don’t have your buff fromCrusade Insigniabecause you haven’t killed anything in a while, you’ll still get extra damage fromRotten Wing Sword Insignia. Obviously, during boss fights,Crusade Insigniais not as useful.

Lastly, I have theDragoncrest Greatshield Talismanfor extra physical protection. We have a pretty good armor set, we have protection fromGolden Vow, and we have extra protection from this talisman. This allows you to trade damage and not die. With plus sevenScadutree Fragmentsyou can see how little damage you’ll be taking, and as you get even moreScadutree Fragments, you’ll have even higher protection. You might be able to sub this one out later on.

Other talismans you can use for this build include theShard of Alexander, which will increaseEuporia Vortex‘s damage. However, I find it very situational because you ideally want to use it when it’s charged up. It’s very expensive, so you can’t just use it willy-nilly. It has a long animation, so it’s hard to use if you’re surrounded by enemies because you can get interrupted.

It’s also hard to use in boss fights regularly because you have to find an opening to get the timing down. I find that getting my attack power boosted withRotten Wing Sword Insigniaand then usingEuporia Vortexresults in similar or better damage than usingShard of Alexander, while still increasing my regular attack damage. So, overall, I think it’s better.

Another good candidate for this build is theLacerating Crossed-Tree Talisman, which increases your dash attacks by 15 percent. You’re constantly doing dash attacks with this weapon to slide into your combos and start them off. You’ll do this against a lot of bosses and hard-to-kill enemies, and you’ll initiate combat because you’re super aggressive. So consider using this one if you don’t have other talismans or if you can get away without using theDragoncrest Greatshield Talisman. It’s also a good one to use.

So stat-wise for this build, I have 55Vigor, 30Mind, 25Endurance, 16Strength, 16Dexterity, 16Intelligence, 70Faith, and 9Arcane. You don’t need any intelligence or arcane for this build; disregard those stats because I was anAstrologer, so I couldn’t get them lower than that.

StrengthandDexterityare simply enough to meet the requirements for this weapon, with most of our points going intoFaith. This not only maximizes the attack power of the weapon at this level but also allows you to cast incantations effectively. There’s no reason not to have incantations in this build.

Moving forward, you’ll probably continue to increaseFaithup to 80 or even higher, and then you’ll want to bringStrengthandDexterityup to 50 at some point to get more damage out of the weapon. You could definitely take this intoNew Game PlusorNew Game Plus Plusand still have lots of damage.

EnduranceandMindare a bit backwards for what I have. I think it’s probably better to have 30Enduranceand 25Mind. The reason is that you’re not usingEuporia Vortexas much as you think you will, so you don’t need a ton ofMind. TheMindis mostly forGolden Vowso you can buff periodically, but I found after playing around with this build that you really don’t need that muchMind.

You could even go down to 20Mindbecause I’m not buffing withGolden Vowall that often. Having the extraEndurancewill make it so you don’t run out of stamina in combat and will also allow you to use a heavier armor set that gives you more protection if you want.

55Vigoris the bare minimum here. You’ll definitely want to take this up to 60 at some point since you do trade damage a lot.

When it comes to theFlask of Wondrous Physick, I like a couple of things. I like theOpaline Hardtearto give yourself more protection so that you can trade damage and take less damage, and I also like theHoly-Shrouding Cracked Tearfor increasedHolydamage. This weapon deals about two-thirds of its damage asHoly, so you get a decent boost from that. Also, if you’re casting incantations that dealHolydamage, which is what I would advise, you could get more damage out of those incantations.

If you decide to go the incantation route and want to boost yourHolyspells, you could slot theSacred Scorpion Charmto get moreHolydamage. You will take more damage if you do that, but if you’re planning on usingHolyincantations, I think it’s definitely worth considering. If you’re not usingHolyincantations, there are many other good talismans, and taking the damage increase penalty might not be worth it. Other good candidates are theThorny Cracked Tearfor increased attack power with repeated attacks, orGreenburst Crystal Tear, both of which are good.

When it comes toGreat Runes,Malenia’sis not a bad choice as it gives you health back if you attack after getting hit quickly, and since you play hyper-aggressively, that’s a good one.Morgott’sis also not bad for the increased health since, as I mentioned, you do tend to trade damage.Radahn’scould also be used; you don’t really need the FP, but the stamina and HP are good, so that would be my third choice.

So that wraps up myDivine Warriorbuild. I had a blast with this weapon—it’s the most aggressive weapon I’ve played with so far. I really love that style of play where you’re not afraid to trade damage to melt a boss faster and get through a boss fight quickly, sacrificing some of your health. If you like that way of playing, this is a fun build to play. As always, let us know if you have questions or other tips in the comments below. We have a ton more builds coming forElden RingandShadow of the Erdtreeso stay tuned for those.
