Elden Ring Sells a Staggering 20 Million Units in One Year of Launch

Bandai Namco have announced that the Action-RPG Elden Ring has now surpassed 20 million units sold in the first year of its release.

Since the launch, FromSoftware has released a PvP update which added the challengingColosseum. This mode has up to six players duke it out in duels, free-for-alls, and team fights. You can even bring in summons usingSpirit Ashes.

Players of course can’t wait for what could be next for the game, but the developer has stayed very quiet in this regard. Hidetaka Miyazaki did tease that there are “more things” he wants to do with the game but didn’t really let on what exactly that meant. The developer is however now focusing onArmored Core 6: Fires of Rubiconwhich was also revealed at TGA set to release this year. But you can expect more from the IP in different forms such as aboard gamewhich has already smashed its Kickstarter goal tenfold withover 16.6 million units worldwide. Yasuo Miyakawa has expressed interest in “expanding beyond the realm of games” for the new IP.

A one-year anniversary celebration will be taking place in Stockholm on February 25th, which has some excited to hear some news on the game. So far they have announced cosplay, contests, prize giveaways and PVP.
