Elex Releases New Prologue Trailer That Digs Into the Game’s Apocalyptic Backstory

Piranha Bytes has released a newElexprologue trailer today that gives some background on the story of the upcoming open world Sci-Fi/Fantasy RPG. Watch it below:

In the trailer we see the world calledMagalanthat was hit by a comet that plunged the world into chaos. Newfactionsarose from the ashes,Berserkers,ClericsandOutlawswho competed over resources and a substance calledelexwhich arrived with the comet. Elex’s properties allow people to harness new powers and abilities. Each of the factions derived new features from its use, but overuse led to addiction and the distortion of people into mutants. TheAlbsemerged as a group who could control the elex at the expense of emotions. With their resurgence, the land now stands at the brink of large scale war.
