Enotria: The Last Songwill be released on Xbox as soon as possible, and its creators have thanked Microsoft for their help and apologies after the significant issue.

The promising soulslike based on Italian folklore, which swaps the usual dark fantasy for the warm light of the Mediterranean, is set to release on September 19, but only onPS5 and PC.

The Xbox Series X|S version has been delayed indefinitely due to a technical issue, which CEO Jacky Greco revealed was simply a matter of receiving certifications from Microsoft. The head of Jyamma Games harshly criticized Xbox in a series of tweets, stating, “They don’t care about Enotria nor do they care about you” (referring to the players).

However, two days later, tensions eased after directly speaking with Phil Spencer, head of Xbox. Phil Spencer apologized to Jyamma Games, the creators ofEnotria: The Last Song.

“We want to officially thank Phil Spencer and his team for contacting us so quickly and helping us resolve the situation. We also want to thank our fantastic community for their support in recent days.”

As a result, they are now working closely with Microsoft to release the game on Xbox as soon as possible.

Last Monday, Greco lamented that they had spent a lot of money on the port “only to be ignored.” In fact, back in March, they announced that Enotria would be delayed on Xbox, but later, when all versions were pushed from August to September, they changed their mind and promised to release them all at once. However, the Xbox version is currently delayed indefinitely.

This situation is similar to that of another indie game,HAAK, which outright canceled its Xbox version, citing bugs in the Microsoft Partner Center and lack of attention from Microsoft. The case of Enotria, an indie game with somewhat more renown it was featured at Gamescom, has sparked significant controversy, and while Phil Spencer and his team have been quick to help, they still have work to do if they want to maintain the support of indie studios, who struggle to resolve even simple administrative processes.
