Fallout 4 Tops the Charts in UK
In the best launch week ever for the series,Fallout 4has topped the sales charts in the UK and beat the debut sales of Fallout: New Vegas by a whopping 213% as the open world RPG continues to take the world by storm. It joins sister franchise Elder Scrolls Online as another global chart topper.
On launch day alone the game shipped 12 million copies to retailers, resulting in over 750 million dollars in sales, with another 100 million plus in digital sales. For many retailers the game has set sales records and Bethesda is shipping out more copies of the game to keep up with demand.
To compare, Skyrim shipped 7 million copies in its first 2 days days of launch with total cumulative sales to date reaching 20 million units. We can only begin to imagine what the Elder Scrolls 6 will achieve in overall numbers as Bethesda continues to outdo prior games with each new release. The popularity of the series is simply phenomenal, with Steam alone featuring almost 500,000 concurrent players at one time, obliterating their previous record holder.
