Fallout,one of Prime Video’s most successful and acclaimed series, is wrapping up preparations for the filming of its second season. The platform has accelerated production, and lead actress Ella Purnell has already teased some intriguing story details. Now, Walton Goggins confirms he is back in makeup to reprise his role as the ghoul bounty hunter, Cooper Howard.

The series, which adapts Bethesda’s iconic video game saga, is produced by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy (Westworld) and was created by Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner. It became a global phenomenon thanks to its brilliant depiction of the apocalyptic Fallout universe and its humor, faithfully drawn from the original games.

Amazon, which renewed the show for a second season, has confirmed the start of filming. Walton Goggins, known for his role inJustified, took to social media to share an image of the daily makeup process required to transform him into the infamous ghoul, Cooper Howard.

The first season was a massive success, both critically and with audiences, earning 17 Emmy nominations, including Best Drama Series. Amazon Prime Video, the platform distributing the series, quickly announced its renewal, demonstrating confidence in the creative team and the adaptation’s potential. Time will tell if Season 2 can replicate this success.
