Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Rebornwill launch its long-awaited crossover with Square Enix’s first MMORPG,Final Fantasy 11, in just a couple of weeks. This crossover will introduce a series of raids known as the “Crossover Alliance Raids,” where the worlds of both games unite. This is just one of the highlights in Patch 7.1, titledCrossroads,which will arrive on November 12 for Final Fantasy XIV:Dawntrailon PC, PS5, Xbox Series, and PS4.

The first of these Alliance Raids is named “Echoes of Vana’diel – Jeuno: The First Walk,” a 24-player battle set in Final Fantasy 11’s world of Vana’diel.

Additional content is planned for future updates, including an eight-player Ultimate difficulty raid called “Futures Rewritten” (in Patch 7.11) and a 24-player Chaotic difficulty raid, “The Cloud of Darkness,” set to arrive a week after Patch 7.15.

In the upcoming update, players can also look forward to new main story quests, the dungeon “Yuweyawata Field Station,” the trial “The Minstrel’s Ballad: Sphene’s Burden,” and the Unreal Trial “The Jade Stoa,” where players will face Byakko, one of the Four Lords, at level 100.

Additional content includes new Allied Society missions for the Pelepelu, a new Custom Deliveries client (Nitowikwe), the continuation of Hildibrand missions, and the conclusion of role and Wachumeqimeqi mission storylines.

Those who have already completed all Dawntrail content can replay the main story, trade, and role missions with the New Game+ feature. The Duty Support system (allowing players to run dungeons with NPCs) will also be expanded to include the dungeon Halatali.

Further updates include new housing interior designs, improvements to PvP content (with several Crystalline Conflict maps being revised), training options for combat mechanics, and new voices for NPCs in the Doman Mahjong game.

In a broadcast, director Naoki Yoshida revealed Dawntrail’s new art book, titledThe Art of Succession – Relics of Heritage, which is now available for pre-order on the Square Enix official store.
