Final Fantasy 16 fans need to keep their eyes peeled for March 22nd as Square Enix will be revealing more about the upcoming DLC The Rising Tide.

What’s known so far about The Rising Tide is that it will be a major story DLC set to have an epic showdown between Clive and the mythic Eikon, Leviathan. It follows the previously released DLCEchoes of the Fallenwhich was made available in December last year. The Rising Tide was teased to introduce a new field area called Mysidia. This name should should a ring a bell with fans of the franchise.
What’s interesting about this area is that it has mysterious stunning blue skies. It will also introduce a new Eikon that will grant the main character Clive new Feats and Abilities. All of this will fit nicely into the current Final Fantasy 16 battle system.
Previously the studio teased a few details in an interview on the official Square Enix website. Director Takeo Kujiraoka hints that “something” will happen once all the power of Eikons come together.
And finally… gaining Leviathan’s power will mean that all the power of the Eikons has come together. What will happen to Clive when that happens?
