The next major entry Final Fantasy 16 recently reported to have gone gold meaning its on track for its release this June.
The next major entry in the long-running franchise, Final Fantasy 16 has now officially gone gold. What that means it the game is ready to ship out for its launch on June 22nd.
The developer team at Square Enix have been sharing more about the game as we run up to the launch. Previously they revealed that themain story will take around 35 hoursto complete. The PS5 exclusive will take on a much darker and grittier story than in the past, although there have been some dark themes in previous titles. This one will be ultra dark as it follows the struggles of those who can channel Eikons. Dominants have been mistreated, often forced to use their powers in battle. One particular Dominant Clive Rosfield is the protagonist of Final Fantasy 16.
The Eenix team posed with cute stuffed toy versions of Torgal, the sidekick pup who will aid Clive in battle. Torgal will be even to be able to heal on command (no not heel, heal). This support character will grant a slow heal so won’t be overpowered.
Final Fantasy XVI has gone gold.

Producer Naoki Yoshida recently tried to clear up the confusion about a further platform for the game. He explained that a portwouldn’t likely be coming within 6 monthsof launch of the PS5 version due to the complications of optimising the game.
Final Fantasy 16will be arriving on Playstation 5 on June 22nd.
