I’m such a sucker for the atmosphere of the FF worlds and their usual slick visuals. I’ve been down on their last few entries and although MMO’s I find difficult to commit the time required, I am certainly interested in this. Is there a trial period of some sort and is the game something that requires a significant time investment to maintain as in do I need to play this and only this to make it worthwhile?

EDIT Suspiciously the ad that is appearing for me below your article is for FFXIV…They know…

There is currently no trail for the game.In terms of time investment it is certainly an investment but is a lot more casual than XI. I’ve been playing casually (1 or 2 nights a week) for around a month and have nearly reached endgame. But I certainly recommend you don’t go into this alone, bring friends or go and research a friendly and helpful Free Company (Guild) or Linkshell (Chat Group) these make a huge difference to the quality of atmosphere and time management in game.Hope this helps!

Ok that sounds pretty reasonable. Thanks for the tips, I’ll keep a closer watch on it as my backlog clears up.

I also forgot to mention the PS4 beta drops on February 22nd. So if you have a PS4 then that is a great time to try out the game.

Great to know, will certainly try it!

Thank you for the wonderful resource

Rumor has it I’ll be playing this on PS4…
