Editor at Fextralife. I look for the substantial in gaming and I try to connect video games to the emotions and stories they elicit. I love all things culture and history and have an odd fondness for the planet Jupiter. I think my dogs are pretty awesome too.
Picked it up, will be a week or so before I can actually sit down with it.
I guess according to the new player help page, I’ll at least need to spoil those chapters that can’t be revisited, so I don’t miss stuff.Missing the whistle event in X-2 was facepalm.
I’ve read a few, like Kotaku, Polygon and IGN, and I’ve seen the main pros and cons. The last Final Fantasy I played was… 12 on the PS2, so it’s been a while since I’ve played a newer Final Fantasy. I also don’t rely on story or graphics to make a game good, instead I look at gameplay and how much fun I can have.
From the trailers and demos and videos I’ve seen, I think I’d like it, but I want to be sure before I drop 60$ on it. That’s why I like to get the average person’s opinion.
Hope everyone who ordered it didn’t get shafted by the post man on release day like I did
Also Lich of you want a negative review to challenge your trust of the game the only one out there currently is by the metro- says the combat and world is good, but main cast and story are subpar.
I have a strong suspicion that I’d disagree regarding the story and characters since a brotherly road trip would probably resonate with me more than the reviewer, but still. There’s you counter argument
I’m looking for a decent review before I go buy this. Don’t trust mainstream sites, so I look to everyone here for opinions. I feel like I’d like it, just want opinions that aren’t bought or trolls.
Time to go get my copy. I’ll be using this guide when I get stuck and add anything I learn if it isn’t added before I learn it.
